[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , sent Tufayl ibn Amr and another person to Daws. They came and said, "O Messenger of Allah, supplicate to Allah to destroy Daws." He said, "O Allah, guide Daws and bring them to us."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ بَعَثَ طُفَيْلُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو وَآخَرَ إِلَى دَوْسٍ فَجَاءَا فَقَالَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ادْعُ اللهَ أَنْ يُهْلِكَ دَوْسًا فَقَالَ «اللهُمَّ اهْدِ دَوْسًا وَائْتِ بِهِمْ»

Tufail bin ʿAmr came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "The Daus (nation) have perished as they disobeyed and refused to accept Islam. So invoke Allah against them." But the Prophet ﷺ said, "O Allah! Give guidance to the Daus (tribe) and bring them (to Islam)!"
جَاءَ الطُّفَيْلُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنَّ دَوْسًا قَدْ هَلَكَتْ عَصَتْ وَأَبَتْ فَادْعُ اللَّهَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَقَالَ اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِ دَوْسًا وَأْتِ بِهِمْ

[Machine] "That the delegation of At-Tufayl Ibn 'Amr Al-Dawsi and his companions came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, the tribe of Dawus has disobeyed and refused to accept. So, invoke Allah against them.' It was said, 'Dawus are destroyed.' He said, 'O Allah! Guide Dawus and bring them.'"
أَنَّ الطُّفَيْلَ بْنَ عَمْرٍو الدَّوْسِيَّ وَأَصْحَابَهُ قَدِمُوا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَدْ عَصَتْ دَوْسٌ وَأَبَتْ فَادْعُ اللهَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَقِيلَ هَلَكَتْ دَوْسٌ فَقَالَ «اللهُمَّ اهْدِ دَوْسًا وَائْتِ بِهِمْ»
Messenger of Allah, the tribe of Daws has disbelieved and has belied you, so invoke curse upon them. It was said: Let Daws be destroyed, whereupon he (Messenger of Allah) said: Allah guide aright the tribe of Daws and direct them to me. (Using translation from Muslim 2524)
