[Machine] We went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the day of the conquest of Makkah towards the graves. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sat by a grave and we saw him as if he was conversing with it. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then stood up and wiped the tears from his eyes. 'Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, approached him and said, "O Messenger of Allah, what makes you cry?" He said, "I sought permission from my Lord to visit the grave of my mother, and He granted me permission. So I asked for forgiveness for her and was forbidden." He then gestured to us to sit, and we sat down. He said, "I prohibited you from visiting graves, but whoever wishes to visit should do so. I also prohibited you from eating the meat of sacrificial animals after three days, so eat and save what seems good to you. I also prohibited you from using containers made of animal skin, but now use them, for now they are not impure nor do they make anything impure. And avoid all intoxicants."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ participated in the Battle of Fath (Conquest). After the battle, he went to visit the graves. When he reached the closest one, he sat down by it as if he was speaking to someone sitting there who was crying. Umar ibn al-Khattab then approached him and asked him, "What makes you cry? May Allah make me your sacrifice." The Prophet ﷺ replied, "I asked my Lord for permission to visit the grave of the mother of Muhammad, and He granted me permission. So I asked Him to grant me permission to seek forgiveness for her, but He did not grant it. Verily, I forbade you from three things: keeping the sacrificial meat for more than three days, so eat what is apparent to you; visiting graves, so whoever wants may visit, for I have been granted permission to visit the grave of the mother of Muhammad; and using fermentation products such as dobba, hantamah, and muzaffat. I commanded you to avoid such products, for the container does not make anything permissible or forbidden. So abstain from all intoxicants."
