[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had Umm Salama with him when Gabriel came to him and spoke to him about what had been decreed for him. When he got up, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Umm Salama, who is this?" She said, "Dihyah." He said, "By Allah! I did not think of anyone but Dihyah until I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ talking about Gabriel's news." Mu'tamir said, "My father said to Abu 'Uthman: From whom did you hear it?" He said, "From Usama."  

الطبراني:٤٢٣حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الرَّقَاشِيُّ ثنا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ يَقُولُ نُبِّئْتُ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَتْ عِنْدَهُ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ فَجَاءَ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فَتَحَدَّثَ مَا قَضَى لَهُ فَلَمَّا قَامَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يَا أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ مَنْ هَذَا؟» قَالَتْ دِحْيَةُ قَالَتْ وَلَايْمُ اللهِ مَا حَسِبْتُهُ إِلَّا دِحْيَةَ حَتَّى سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَخْطُبُ بِخَبَرِ جِبْرِيلَ ﷺ قَالَ مُعْتَمِرٌ قَالَ أَبِي لِأَبِي عُثْمَانَ مِمَّنْ سَمِعْتَهُ؟ قَالَ مِنْ أُسَامَةَ

I got the news that Gabriel came to the Prophet ﷺ while Um Salama was present. Gabriel started talking (to the Prophet ﷺ and then left. The Prophet ﷺ said to Um Salama, "(Do you know) who it was?" (or a similar question). She said, "It was Dihya (a handsome person amongst the companions of the Prophet ﷺ )." Later on Um Salama said, "By Allah! I thought he was none but Dihya, till I heard the Prophet ﷺ talking about Gabriel in his sermon." (The Sub-narrator asked Abu ʿUthman, "From where have you heard this narration?" He replied, "From Usama bin Zaid.")

I was informed that Gabriel came to the Prophet ﷺ while Um Salama was with him. Gabriel started talking (to the Prophet). Then the Prophet ﷺ asked Um Salama, "Who is this?" She replied, "He is Dihya (al-Kalbi)." When Gabriel had left, Um Salama said, "By Allah, I did not take him for anybody other than him (i.e. Dihya) till I heard the sermon of the Prophet ﷺ wherein he informed about the news of Gabriel." The subnarrator asked Abu ʿUthman: From whom have you heard that? Abu ʿUthman said: From Usama bin Zaid.

In case it lies in your power don't be one to enter the bazar first and the last to get out of that because there is a bustle and the standard of Satan is set there. He said: I was informed that Gabriel (Allah be pleased with him) came to Allah's Apostle ﷺ and there was with him Umin Salama and he began to talk with him. He then stood up, whereupon Allah's Apostle ﷺ said to Umm Salama: (Do you know) who was he and what did he say? She said: He was Dihya (Kalbi). He reported Umm Salama having said: By Allah, I did not deem him but only he (Dihya) until I heard the address of Allah's Apostle ﷺ informing him about us. He (the narrator) said: I said to Uthman: From whom did you hear it? He said: From Usima b. Zaid.

"إِنَّ جِبْرِيلَ أَتَى النَّبِىَّ ﷺ وَعِنْدَهُ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ فَجَعَلَ يَتَحَدَّثُ ثُمَّ قَامَ فَقَالَ نَبِىُّ الله ﷺ لأُمِّ سَلَمَةَ مَنْ هَذَا؟ قَالَ دِحْيَةُ. فقالَتْ أمُّ سَلَمَة: أَيْمُ الله! مَا حَسِبْتُهُ إِلَّا إيَّاهُ حَتَّى سَمِعْتُ خُطبَةَ النَّبِىِّ ﷺ يُخْبِرُ خَبَرَنَا (* *).
