[Machine] Al-Qa'nabi narrated from Malik, who narrated from Bakr bin Sahl, who narrated from Abdullah bin Yusuf, who narrated from Malik, who narrated from Abu al-Nadr, the freed slave of Umar bin Ubaydullah bin Ma'mar, who narrated from Um al-Fadl bint al-Harith, that some people had a disagreement in her presence on the day of Arafah regarding the fasting of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . Some of them said he was fasting, while others said he was not. So she sent him a cup of milk while he was standing on his camel at Arafah and he drank it.
ثنا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ عَنْ مَالِكٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ أنا مَالِكٌ عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ مَوْلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ عُمَيْرٍ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ أُمِّ الْفَضْلِ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ أَنَّ نَاسًا اخْتَلَفُوا عِنْدَهَا يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ فِي رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ هُوَ صَائِمٌ وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ لَيْسَ بِصَائِمٍ فَأَرْسَلَتْ إِلَيْهِ بِقَدَحٍ مِنْ لَبَنٍ وَهُوَ وَاقِفٌ عَلَى بَعِيرِهِ فَشَرِبَ بِعَرَفَةَ
