«أَعْتَقَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَجَعَلَ عِتْقِي صَدَاقِي»

Anas bin ‘Malik said “The Prophet ﷺ manumitted Safiyyah and made her manumission her dower.”

ذِكْرُ اسْتِعْمَالِ الْمُصْطَفَى ﷺ الْحَيْسَ عِنْدَ تَزْوِيجِهِ صَفِيَّةَ

ibnhibban:4063 – al-Faḍl b. al-Ḥubāb > ʿImrān b. Maysarah > ʿAbd al-Wārith b. Saʿīd > Shuʿayb b. al-Ḥabḥāb > Anas b. Mālik

Messenger of Allah ﷺ manumitted Safiyya and then married her, and her Mahr was her manumission, and he gave a wedding banquet with Hais (a sort of sweet dish made from butter, cheese and dates). (Using translation from Bukhārī 5169)  

ابن حبّان:٤٠٦٣ – أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مَيْسَرَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ الْحَبْحَابِ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ
