And why did the accusers not bring four witnesses to it? If they cannot produce such witnesses, they are the liars in God’s eyes.

لَّوْلَا جَآءُو عَلَيْهِ بِأَرْبَعَةِ شُهَدَآءَۚ فَإِذْ لَمْ يَأْتُوا۟ بِٱلشُّهَدَآءِ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ هُمُ ٱلْكَٰذِبُونَ

[AI] Ibn Abbas said, "If they did not bring forth four witnesses, they themselves, along with those who testified, would be regarded as liars. But since they did not present witnesses, they are indeed the ones who are lying before Allah." He intends to lie with his own eye.
