[Machine] A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, what do you say about a man who has committed a major sin?" meaning the Hellfire. He replied, "He will be punished in Hell, but if he sincerely repents, his repentance will free him from the punishment of every limb that sinned."  

الطبراني:١٨٥١٦ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ النَّاقِدُ ثنا مَعْمَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الرَّقِّيُّ ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ حَبَّانَ عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ أَرْطَاةَ عَنْ عَبْدَةَ بْنِ أَبِي لُبَابَةَ عَنْ فَيْرُوزٍ الدَّيْلَمِيِّ عَنِ الْغَرِيفِ بْنِ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ وَاثِلَةَ بْنِ الْأَسْقَعِ قَالَ

جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا تَقُولُ فِي رَجُلٍ قَدْ أَوْجَبَ؟ يَعْنِي النَّارَ فَقَالَ «يَعْتِقُ رَقَبَةً فَإِنَّهُ يَفْدِي كُلُّ عُضْوٍ مِنْهَا عُضْوًا مِنْهُ مِنَ النَّارِ»

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ met a group of Banu Sulaym and they said, "We have a companion who is in bondage." He said, "Let him free a slave as a means of ransom for every limb of his body from the Fire of Hell."
