While we were with Talha b. Ubaidullah and were in the state of Ihram we were presented a (cooked) bird. Talha was sleeping. Some of us ate it and some of us refrained from (eating) it. When Talha awoke he agreed with him who ate it, and said: We ate it along with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.

وَقَالَ أَكَلْنَاهُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ

I visited the house of al-Hakam b. Ayyub along with my grandfather Anas b. Milik, (and there) some people had made a hen a target and were shooting arrows at her. Thereupon Asas said that Messenger of Allah ﷺ had forbidden tying of the animals (and making them the targets of arrows, etc.).

أَنَسٌ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ تُصْبَرَ الْبَهَائِمُ

I entered upon al-Hakam b. Ayyub along with Anas. He saw some youths or boys who had set up a hen and shooting at it. Anas said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade to kill an animal in confinement.

أَنَسٌ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ تُصْبَرَ الْبَهَائِمُ

"we were with Talhah bin Ubaidullah and we were Ihram. A birth was given to him when he was asleep, and some of us at from it and others refrained. Talhah woke up and agreed with those who had eaten it, and said: 'We ate it with Messenger of Allah.'"

وَقَالَ أَكَلْنَاهُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ

'The Messenger of Allah forbade using animals as targets;'

دَخَلْتُ مَعَ أَنَسٍ عَلَى الْحَكَمِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَيُّوبَ فَإِذَا أُنَاسٌ يَرْمُونَ دَجَاجَةً فِي دَارِ الأَمِيرِ فَقَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ تُصْبَرَ الْبَهَائِمُ

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade tying up animals.”

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ صَبْرِ الْبَهَائِمِ

“We were with Talhah bin ‘Ubaidullah ؓ and we were in ihram. We were given a bird as a gift whilst Talhah was sleeping. Some of us ate and some of us refrained and did not eat. When Talhah woke up, he approved of those who had eaten it and said: “We ate it with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.” (Using translation from Aḥmad 1383)

وَقَالَ أَكَلْنَاهُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ

[AI] I heard Anas ibn Malik saying that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade watering the animals.

سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ تُصْبَرَ الْبَهَائِمُ

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ صَبْرِ الْبَهِيمَةِ

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited passing an unsheathed sword." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2163)

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ يُتَعَاطَى السَّيْفُ مَسْلُولًا

[AI] We went on a raid with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and we encountered locusts, so we ate them.

غَزَوْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَصَبْنَا جَرَادًا فَأَكَلْنَاهُ

That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade earnings of slave-girls. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3425)

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ سَبِّ الْأَمْوَاتِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the fee of a prostitute.

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ مَهْرِ الْبَغِيِّ.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade (taking hire for) a stallion's covering. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3429)

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ النَّعْيِ

“I asked Jabir bin ‘Abdullah about hyenas: ‘Are they game (that can be hunted)?’ He said: ‘Yes.’ I said: ‘Can I eat them?’ He said: ‘Yes.’ I said: ‘Is this something that you heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?’ He said: ‘Yes.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3236)

قُلْتُ أَيُؤْكَلُ الضَّبُعُ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ» قُلْتُ أَصَيْدٌ هِيَ؟ قَالَ أَسَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ؟ قَالَ «نَعَمْ»

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited passing an unsheathed sword." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 2163)

«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يُتَعَاطَى السَّيْفُ مَسْلُولًا»

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited people from showing off in mosques."

«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَتَبَاهَى النَّاسُ فِي الْمَسَاجِدِ»

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade writing anything on graves.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1563)

«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يُبْنَى عَلَى الْقَبْرِ»

“We were with Talhah bin ‘Ubaidullah ؓ and we were in ihram. We were given a bird as a gift whilst Talhah was sleeping. Some of us ate and some of us refrained and did not eat. وَقَالَ «أَكَلْنَاهُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ»

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade meeting traders on the way." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2179)

«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ تَلَقِّي الْبُيُوعِ»

“We were with Talhah bin ‘Ubaidullah ؓ and we were in ihram. We were given a bird as a gift whilst Talhah was sleeping. Some of us ate and some of us refrained and did not eat. When Talhah woke up, he approved of those who had eaten it and said: “We ate it with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.” (Using translation from Aḥmad 1383)

وَقَالَ أَكَلْنَاهَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibiting the castration of animals.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «يَنْهَى عَنْ صَبْرِ الْبَهِيمَةِ»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbidding the patience with animals.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «يَنْهَى عَنْ صَبْرِ الْبَهِيمَةِ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited ploughing the land.

«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ كَرْيِ الْأَرْضِ»

I ate the flesh of a bustard along with the Prophet ﷺ. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3797)

«أَكَلْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ لَحْمَ حُبَارَى»

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade slaughtering animals for sacrifice and consuming their meat before they have been offered as sacrifice."

«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ تُصَبَّرَ الْبَهِيمَةُ وَأَنْ يُؤْكَلَ لَحْمُهَا إِذَا صُبِّرَتْ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ heard the voices of two men while they were talking.

سَمِعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صَوْتَ رَجُلَيْنِ وَهُمَا يَقُولَانِ

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited piercing the animal."

«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ تُصْبَرَ الْبَهِيمَةُ»

[AI] And he said, "So we did with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ."

وَقَالَ «فَعَلْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ»

[AI] "The Prophet ﷺ forbade exaggeration."

«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْأُغْلُوطَاتِ»

“We were with Talhah bin ‘Ubaidullah ؓ and we were in ihram. We were given a bird as a gift whilst Talhah was sleeping. Some of us ate and some of us refrained and did not eat. When Talhah woke up, he approved of those who had eaten it and said: “We ate it with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.” (Using translation from Aḥmad 1383)
