"أيُّمَا رَجُل ارْتَدَّ عَن الإِسْلام فَادْعُهُ فَإِنْ تَابَ فَاقْبَلْ مِنْهُ، وَإنْ لَمْ يَتُبْ فَاضْرِبْ عُنُقَهُ، وَأَيُّمَا امْرَأَةٍ ارْتَدَّتْ عَن الإِسْلام فَادْعُها فَإِن تَابَتْ فَاقْبَلْ مِنْهَا وَإنْ أبَتْ فَاسْبِيهَا ".

[Machine] The messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him when he sent him to Yemen, "If anyone turns away from Islam, invite him to repent. If he repents, accept it from him, and if he does not repent, strike his neck. And if any woman turns away from Islam, invite her to repent. If she repents, accept it from her, and if she refuses, confine her."
