" عَنْ أنَسٍ قَالَ: دَخَلتُ مَعَ النَّبِىِّ ﷺ يَعُودُ زَيْدَ بْنَ أرْقَمَ وَهُوَ يَشْتَكِى عَيْنَيْهِ، فَقَالَ: يَا زَيْدُ! أرَأيْتَ إِنْ كَانَ بَصَرُكَ لِمَا بِهِ؟ قَالَ: أصْبِرُ وَأحْتَسِبُ، فَقَالَ: وَالَّذِى نَفْسِى بِيَدِهِ لَئِنْ كَانَ بَصَرُكَ لمَا بِهِ فَصَبرْتَ وَاحْتَسَبْتَ لَتَلقَيَنَّ الله يَوْمَ القِيَامَةِ لَيْسَ علَيْكَ ذنبٌ ".

[Machine] I entered with the Prophet ﷺ to visit Zaid bin Arqam while he complained of his eye. The Prophet ﷺ said to him, "O Zaid, if your sight was intact, what would you have done?" Zaid replied, "Then I would have been patient and sought reward from Allah." The Prophet ﷺ said, "If your sight was intact and you were patient and sought reward, you would have met Allah without any sin."
