"Indeed I see what you do not see, and I hear what you do not hear. The Heavens moan, and they have the right to moan. There is no spot, the size of four fingers in them, except that there is an angel placing his forehead in it, prostrating to Allah. By Allah! If you knew what I know, then you would laugh little and you would cry much. And you would not taste the pleasures of your women in the beds, and you would go out beseeching Allah. And I wish that I was but a felled tree."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنِّي أَرَى مَا لاَ تَرَوْنَ وَأَسْمَعُ مَا لاَ تَسْمَعُونَ أَطَّتِ السَّمَاءُ وَحُقَّ لَهَا أَنْ تَئِطَّ مَا فِيهَا مَوْضِعُ أَرْبَعِ أَصَابِعَ إِلاَّ وَمَلَكٌ وَاضِعٌ جَبْهَتَهُ سَاجِدًا لِلَّهِ لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ مَا أَعْلَمُ لَضَحِكْتُمْ قَلِيلاً وَلَبَكَيْتُمْ كَثِيرًا وَمَا تَلَذَّذْتُمْ بِالنِّسَاءِ عَلَى الْفُرُشِ وَلَخَرَجْتُمْ إِلَى الصُّعُدَاتِ تَجْأَرُونَ إِلَى اللَّهِ لَوَدِدْتُ أَنِّي كُنْتُ شَجَرَةً تُعْضَدُ

“I see what you do not see, and I hear what you do not hear. The heaven is creaking and it should creak, for there is no space in it the width of four fingers but there is an angel there, prostrating to Allah. By Allah, if you knew what I know, you would laugh little and weep much, and you would never enjoy women in your beds, and you would go out in the streets, beseeching Allah.’”

“I see what you do not see, and I hear what you do not hear. “I see what you do not see, and I hear what you do not hear. [Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited the verse {Has there not come upon man a period of time when he was nothing to be mentioned?} [Al-Insan 1] until he completed it, then he said, "Indeed, I see what you do not see and I hear what you do not hear. The sky has cracked and it has the right to crack, for there is not a space of four fingers except that there is an angel prostrating his forehead to Allah. By Allah, if you knew what I know, you would laugh a little and weep a lot, and you would not enjoy women in beds, but you would go out to the open spaces, seeking refuge with Allah." And by Allah, I wish I were a tree that could be supported." Then he said, "Indeed, the word of 'And by Allah, I wish I were a tree that could be supported' is more beloved to me than the statement of Abu Dharr.''

قَرَأَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ {هَلْ أَتَى عَلَى الْإِنْسَانِ حِينٌ مِنَ الدَّهْرِ لَمْ يَكُنْ شَيْئًا مَذْكُورًا} [الإنسان 1] حَتَّى خَتَمَهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنِّي لَأَرَى مَا لَا تَرَوْنَ وَأَسْمَعُ مَا لَا تَسْمَعُونَ أَطَّتِ السَّمَاءُ وَحَقَّ لَهَا أَنْ تَئِطَّ مَا فِيهَا قَدْرُ مَوْضِعِ أُصْبُعٍ إِلَّا مَلَكٌ وَاضِعٌ جَبْهَتَهُ سَاجِدًا لِلَّهِ وَاللهِ لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ مَا أَعْلَمُ لَضَحِكْتُمْ قَلِيلًا وَلَبَكَيْتُمْ كَثِيرًا وَمَا تَلَذَّذْتُمْ بِالنِّسَاءِ عَلَى الْفُرُشِ وَلَخَرَجْتُمْ إِلَى الصُّعُدَاتِ تَجْأَرُونَ إِلَى اللهِ تَعَالَى وَاللهِ لَوَدِدْتُ أَنِّي شَجَرَةٌ تُعْضَدُ فَقَالَ إِنَّ قَوْلَهُ وَاللهِ لَوَدِدْتُ أَنِّي شَجَرَةٌ تُعْضَدُ مِنْ قَوْلِ أَبِي ذَرٍّ ؓ
