Command to show patience when rights are taken away during the time of severe trials

A man from the Ansar said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! Will you appoint me as you have appointed so-and-so?" The Prophet ﷺ said, "After me, you will see others given preference over you; so be patient till you meet me at the Ḥawḍ (the Basin) ˹on the Day of Resurrection˺."

أَنَّ رَجُلاً مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، أَلاَ تَسْتَعْمِلُنِي كَمَا اسْتَعْمَلْتَ فُلاَنًا؟ قَالَ: «سَتَلْقَوْنَ بَعْدِي أَثَرَةً، فَاصْبِرُوا حَتَّى تَلْقَوْنِي عَلَى الْحَوْضِ».

The Prophet ﷺ said to the Ansar, "After me you will see others given preference to you; so be patient till you meet me, and your promised place (of meeting) will be the Tank (i.e. Lake of Kauthar).

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لِلأَنْصَارِ إِنَّكُمْ سَتَلْقَوْنَ بَعْدِي أَثَرَةً فَاصْبِرُوا حَتَّى تَلْقَوْنِي وَمَوْعِدُكُمُ الْحَوْضُ

A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ! You appointed such-and-such person and you did not appoint me?" The Prophet ﷺ said, "After me you will see rulers not giving you your right (but you should give them their right) and be patient till you meet me."

أَنَّ رَجُلاً أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ اسْتَعْمَلْتَ فُلاَنًا وَلَمْ تَسْتَعْمِلْنِي قَالَ إِنَّكُمْ سَتَرَوْنَ بَعْدِي أَثَرَةً فَاصْبِرُوا حَتَّى تَلْقَوْنِي

Will you not appoint me governor as you have appointed so and so? He (the Messenger of Allah) said: You will surely come across preferential treatment after me, so you should be patient until you meet me at the Cistern (Haud-i-Kauthar).

أَنَّ رَجُلاً مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ خَلاَ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ أَلاَ تَسْتَعْمِلُنِي كَمَا اسْتَعْمَلْتَ فُلاَنًا فَقَالَ إِنَّكُمْ سَتَلْقَوْنَ بَعْدِي أَثَرَةً فَاصْبِرُوا حَتَّى تَلْقَوْنِي عَلَى الْحَوْضِ

"A man from Ansar said, 'O Messenger of Allah! You appointed so-and-so and did not appoint me. So, the Prophet ﷺ said, 'After me you will see preferential treatment, so be patient till you meet me at Al-Hawd."'

يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ اسْتَعْمَلْتَ فُلاَنًا وَلَمْ تَسْتَعْمِلْنِي فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنَّكُمْ سَتَرَوْنَ بَعْدِي أَثَرَةً فَاصْبِرُوا حَتَّى تَلْقَوْنِي عَلَى الْحَوْضِ

A man from among the Ansar came to the Messenger of Allah [SAW] and said: "Will you not appoint me as you appointed so-and-so?" He said: "You will encounter selfishness after I am gone, so be patient until you meet me at the cistern (Al-Hawd)."

أَنَّ رَجُلاً مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ جَاءَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ أَلاَ تَسْتَعْمِلْنِي كَمَا اسْتَعْمَلْتَ فُلاَنًا قَالَ إِنَّكُمْ سَتَلْقَوْنَ بَعْدِي أَثَرَةً فَاصْبِرُوا حَتَّى تَلْقَوْنِي عَلَى الْحَوْضِ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say to the Ansar, "Indeed, you will meet me after me at the pool." They said, "So what do you command us?" He said, "Be patient until you meet me at the pool."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لِلْأَنْصَارِ إِنَّكُمْ سَتَلْقَوْنَ بَعْدِي أَثَرَةً قَالُوا فَمَا تَأْمُرُنَا؟ قَالَ اصْبِرُوا حَتَّى تَلْقَوْنِي عَلَى الْحَوْضِ

إِنَّ رَجُلًا مِنَالْأَنْصَارِ تَخَلَّى بِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ أَلَا تَسْتَعْمِلُنِي كَمَا اسْتَعْمَلْتَ فُلَانًا؟ قَالَ إِنَّكُمْ سَتَلْقَوْنَ بَعْدِي أَثَرَةً فَاصْبِرُوا حَتَّى تَلْقَوْنِي عَلَى الْحَوْضِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, you will see divisions after me." They asked, "What do you command us to do?" He said, "Be patient until you meet me at the pool."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنَّكُمْ سَتَرَوْنَ بَعْدِي أَثَرَةً» قَالُوا فَمَا تَأْمُرُنَا؟ قَالَ «اصْبِرُوا حَتَّى تَلْقَوْنِي عَلَى الْحَوْضِ»

[AI] "O Messenger of Allah, you have employed so-and-so and have not employed me." He ﷺ replied, "Verily, you will see my traces after me, so be patient until you meet me at the Hawd (the pool in Paradise)." The words of the Hadith of Bashir bin 'Umar.

يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ اسْتَعْمَلْتَ فُلَانًا وَلَمْ تَسْتَعْمِلْنِي فَقَالَ إِنَّكُمْ سَتَرَوْنَ بَعْدِي أَثَرَةً فَاصْبِرُوا حَتَّى تَلْقَوْنِي عَلَى الْحَوْضِ لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ بِشْرِ بْنِ عُمَرَ

"إِنَّكُمْ سَتَرونَ بَعْدِى أثَرَةً فاصْبِرُوا حَتَّى تَلقَوْنِى عَلَى الحَوْضِ".
