"إِنَّ الْفِتْنَةَ تُرْسَلُ، وَيُرْسَلُ مَعها الْهَوى والصَّبْرُ، فَمَن اتَّبَعَ الْهَوى كَانَتْ قِتْلَتُهُ سَوْداءَ، وَمَنْ اتَّبعَ الصَّبْرَ كَانَتْ قتْلَتُهُ بيْضَاءَ".

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Verily, tribulation is sent and accompanying it comes desire and patience. So whoever follows desire, his death will be black, and whoever follows patience, his death will be white."  

الطبراني:٣٤٤٦ – حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ مَرْثَدٍ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عَيَّاشٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنِي ضَمْضَمُ بْنُ زُرْعَةَ عَنْ شُرَيْحِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ قَالَ
