"عَنْ عَلِىِّ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَمْرَو بْنَ الْعَاصِ يَقُول عَلَى المِنْبَر: أَلَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ مَا أَبْعَدَ هَدْيَكُمْ مِنْ هَدْىِ رسُولِ الله ﷺ كَانَ مِنْ أَزْهَدِ النَّاسِ في الدُّنْيَا، وَأَنْتُمْ أَرْغَبُ النَّاسِ فِيهَا".

[Machine] I heard Amr bin al-Aas delivering a sermon to the people in Egypt, saying, "How far away your guidance is from the guidance of your Prophet ﷺ. As for him, he was the least concerned with the worldly life among the people, while as for you, you are the most desirous of it."

[Machine] Amr ibn Al-Aas said, "How far are you from the guidance of your Prophet ﷺ ! As for him, he was the least attached to worldly possessions among people, while you are the most desirous of them."

هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ صحيح

ذِكْرُ الْبَيَانِ بِأَنَّ الْمُصْطَفَى ﷺ كَانَ مِنْ أَزْهَدِ النَّاسِ فِي الدُّنْيَا
