Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent a Sariya towards Najd, and ʿAbdullah bin ʿUmar was in the Sariya. They gained a great number of camels as war booty. The share of each one of them was twelve or eleven camels, and they were given an extra camel each.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ بَعَثَ سَرِيَّةً فِيهَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ قِبَلَ نَجْدٍ فَغَنِمُوا إِبِلاً كَثِيرًا فَكَانَتْ سِهَامُهُمُ اثْنَىْ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا أَوْ أَحَدَ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا وَنُفِّلُوا بَعِيرًا بَعِيرًا

The Prophet ﷺ sent a Sariya towards Najd and I was in it, and our share from the booty amounted to twelve camels each, and we were given an additional camel each. So we returned with thirteen camels each.

بَعَثَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ سَرِيَّةً قِبَلَ نَجْدٍ فَكُنْتُ فِيهَا فَبَلَغَتْ سِهَامُنَا اثْنَىْ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا وَنُفِّلْنَا بَعِيرًا بَعِيرًا فَرَجَعْنَا بِثَلاَثَةَ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا

It has been narrated on the authority of Ibn Umar that the Prophet ﷺ sent an expedition to Najd and I was among the troops. They got a large number of camels as a booty. Eleven or twelve camels fell to the lot of every fighter and each of them also got one extra camel.

بَعَثَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ سَرِيَّةً وَأَنَا فِيهِمْ قِبَلَ نَجْدٍ فَغَنِمُوا إِبِلاً كَثِيرَةً فَكَانَتْ سُهْمَانُهُمُ اثْنَى عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا أَوْ أَحَدَ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا وَنُفِّلُوا بَعِيرًا بَعِيرًا

Ibn 'Umar reported that Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent an expedition to Najd and Ibn Umar was also among the troops, and their share (of the spoils) came to twelve camels and they were given one camel over and above that. and Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not make any change in it.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ بَعَثَ سَرِيَّةً قِبَلَ نَجْدٍ وَفِيهِمُ ابْنُ عُمَرَ وَأَنَّ سُهْمَانَهُمْ بَلَغَتِ اثْنَىْ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا وَنُفِّلُوا سِوَى ذَلِكَ بَعِيرًا فَلَمْ يُغَيِّرْهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

It has been narrated by Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent an expedition to Najd, and I (also) went with the troops. We got camels and goats as spoils of war, and our share amounted to twelve camels per head, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave an extra camel to each of us.

بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ سَرِيَّةً إِلَى نَجْدٍ فَخَرَجْتُ فِيهَا فَأَصَبْنَا إِبِلاً وَغَنَمًا فَبَلَغَتْ سُهْمَانُنَا اثْنَىْ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا وَنَفَّلَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بَعِيرًا بَعِيرًا

Nafi’ reported on the authority of ‘Abd Allaah bin ‘Umar “The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ sent a detachment towards Najd. ‘Abd Allaah bin ‘Umar also accompanied it. They gained a large number of Camels as a booty. Their portion was twelve Camels each and they were rewarded (in addition) one Camel each. The version of Ibn Mawhab added “The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ did not change it”

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ بَعَثَ سَرِيَّةً فِيهَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ قِبَلَ نَجْدٍ فَغَنِمُوا إِبِلاً كَثِيرَةً فَكَانَتْ سُهْمَانُهُمُ اثْنَىْ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا وَنُفِّلُوا بَعِيرًا بَعِيرًا زَادَ ابْنُ مَوْهَبٍ فَلَمْ يُغَيِّرْهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

‘Abd Allaah (bin ‘Umar) said “The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ sent us along with a detachment. The share of each was twelve Camels. The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ gave each one of us a Camel as a reward. Abu Dawud said “Burd bin Sinan narrated a similar tradition from Nafi’ as narrated by ‘Ubaid Allaah. Ayyub also narrated from Nafi’ a similar tradition, but his version goes “We were rewarded one Camel each. He did not mention the Prophet ﷺ.

بَعَثَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي سَرِيَّةٍ فَبَلَغَتْ سُهْمَانُنَا اثْنَىْ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا وَنَفَّلَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بَعِيرًا بَعِيرًا

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent a military expedition in which Ibn Umar participated, and they seized a large number of camels. Their share was twelve or eleven camels, and they distributed them one by one.

«بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ سَرِيَّةً فِيهَا ابْنُ عُمَرَ فَغَنِمُوا إِبِلًا كَثِيرَةً فَكَانَتْ سُهْمَانُهُمُ اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا أَوْ أَحَدَ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا وَنُفِّلُوا بَعِيرًا بَعِيرًا»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ sent a reconnaissance mission to Najd, and their arrows reached twelve camels. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ awarded us a camel for each arrow.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ بَعَثَ سَرِيَّةً إِلَى نَجْدٍ فَبَلَغَتْ سِهَامُهُمُ اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا وَنَفَّلَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بَعِيرًا بَعِيرًا

[AI] We sent the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a military expedition. He had twelve camels that reached us, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sacrificed a camel after another camel.

بَعَثَنَا نَبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ فِي سَرِيَّةٍ بَلَغَتْ سُهْمَانُنَا اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا وَنَفَّلَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بَعِيرًا بَعِيرًا

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent a military expedition before the region of Najd, and they captured many camels. The number of their arrows reached eleven or twelve camels, and they killed each camel one by one.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ بَعَثَ سَرِيَّةً قِبَلَ نَجْدٍ فَغَنِمُوا إِبِلًا كَثِيرَةً فَبَلَغَتْ سِهَامُهُمْ أَحَدَ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا أَوِ اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا وَنُفِّلُوا بَعِيرًا بَعِيرًا

[AI] "And the Prophet ﷺ sent on an expedition towards Tihamah, and we acquired some spoils of war. So, our shares reached twelve camels, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ distributed the camels one by one."

وَبَعَثَنَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فِي سَرِيَّةٍ نَحْوَ تِهَامَةَ فَأَصَبْنَا غَنِيمَةً فَبَلَغَ سُهْمَانُنَا اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا وَنَفَّلَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بَعِيرًا بَعِيرًا

[AI] We were in a military expedition and our arrows reached eleven camels for each man. After that, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ distributed the camels one by one.

كُنَّا فِي سَرِيَّةٍ فَبَلَغَتْ سُهْمَانُنَا أَحَدَ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا لِكُلِّ رَجُلٍ ثُمَّ نَفَّلَنَا بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بَعِيرًا بَعِيرًا

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent out a military expedition before Najd, in which I was present. We seized many camels as booty, and our arrows numbered eleven or twelve camels. We untied each camel separately.

بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ سَرِيَّةً قِبَلَ نَجْدٍ كُنْتُ فِيهَا فَغَنِمْنَا إِبِلًا كَثِيرَةً وَكَانَتْ سِهَامُنَا أَحَدَ عَشَرَ أَوِ اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا وَنُفِّلْنَا بَعِيرًا بَعِيرًا

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi from Abdullah ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent a raiding party which included Abdullah ibn Umar near Najd. They plundered many camels and their portions were twelve or eleven camels each. They divided it up camel by camel.

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ بَعَثَ سَرِيَّةً قِبَلَ نَجْدٍ فِيهِمُ ابْنُ عُمَرَ وَإِنَّ سُهْمَانَهُمْ بَلَغَتِ اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا ثُمَّ نُفِّلُوا سِوَى ذَلِكَ بَعِيرًا بَعِيرًا فَلَمْ يُغَيِّرْهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent a small military expedition before reaching Najd with Abdullah. We captured many camels as spoils of war, and our share came to twelve camels. The Messenger of Allah provided us with one camel after another.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ «بَعَثَ سَرِيَّةً قِبَلَ نَجْدٍ وَعَبْدُ اللهِ فِيهَا فَغَنِمْنَا إِبِلًا كَثِيرَةً فَكَانَتْ سُهْمَانُنَا قَدْ بَلَغَتِ اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا وَنَفَلَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ بَعِيرًا بَعِيرًا»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ sent a military expedition while I was amongst them, towards Najd. They acquired many camels, and their share was twelve camels or eleven camels, and they slaughtered a camel, one after another, solely based on the narration of Yahya ibn Yahya and in the narration of Ibn Wahb and Ash-Shafi'i, it is mentioned that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent an expedition, in which Abdullah bin Umar was a part of, and the rest were like him.

بَعَثَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ سَرِيَّةً وَأَنَا فِيهِمْ قِبَلَ نَجْدٍ فَغَنِمُوا إِبِلًا كَثِيرَةً وَكَانَتْ سُهْمَانُهُمُ اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا أَوْ أَحَدَ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا وَنُفِّلُوا بَعِيرًا بَعِيرًا لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَحْيَى وَفِي رِوَايَةِ ابْنِ وَهْبٍ وَالشَّافِعِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ بَعَثَ سَرِيَّةً فِيهَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ وَالْبَاقِي مِثْلُهُ
