The Prophet ﷺ sent a Sariya towards Najd and I was in it, and our share from the booty amounted to twelve camels each, and we were given an additional camel each. So we returned with thirteen camels each.

بَعَثَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ سَرِيَّةً قِبَلَ نَجْدٍ فَكُنْتُ فِيهَا فَبَلَغَتْ سِهَامُنَا اثْنَىْ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا وَنُفِّلْنَا بَعِيرًا بَعِيرًا فَرَجَعْنَا بِثَلاَثَةَ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا

It has been narrated by Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent an expedition to Najd, and I (also) went with the troops. We got camels and goats as spoils of war, and our share amounted to twelve camels per head, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave an extra camel to each of us.

بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ سَرِيَّةً إِلَى نَجْدٍ فَخَرَجْتُ فِيهَا فَأَصَبْنَا إِبِلاً وَغَنَمًا فَبَلَغَتْ سُهْمَانُنَا اثْنَىْ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا وَنَفَّلَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بَعِيرًا بَعِيرًا

‘Abd Allaah (bin ‘Umar) said “The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ sent us along with a detachment. The share of each was twelve Camels. The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ gave each one of us a Camel as a reward. Abu Dawud said “Burd bin Sinan narrated a similar tradition from Nafi’ as narrated by ‘Ubaid Allaah. Ayyub also narrated from Nafi’ a similar tradition, but his version goes “We were rewarded one Camel each. He did not mention the Prophet ﷺ.

بَعَثَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي سَرِيَّةٍ فَبَلَغَتْ سُهْمَانُنَا اثْنَىْ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا وَنَفَّلَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بَعِيرًا بَعِيرًا

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi from Abdullah ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent a raiding party which included Abdullah ibn Umar near Najd. They plundered many camels and their portions were twelve or eleven camels each. They divided it up camel by camel.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ بَعَثَ سَرِيَّةً فِيهَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ قِبَلَ نَجْدٍ فَغَنِمُوا إِبِلاً كَثِيرَةً فَكَانَ سُهْمَانُهُمُ اثْنَىْ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا أَوْ أَحَدَ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا وَنُفِّلُوا بَعِيرًا بَعِيرًا

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ sent a reconnaissance mission to Najd, and their arrows reached twelve camels. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ awarded us a camel for each arrow.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ بَعَثَ سَرِيَّةً إِلَى نَجْدٍ فَبَلَغَتْ سِهَامُهُمُ اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا وَنَفَّلَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بَعِيرًا بَعِيرًا

[Machine] "And the Prophet ﷺ sent on an expedition towards Tihamah, and we acquired some spoils of war. So, our shares reached twelve camels, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ distributed the camels one by one."

وَبَعَثَنَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فِي سَرِيَّةٍ نَحْوَ تِهَامَةَ فَأَصَبْنَا غَنِيمَةً فَبَلَغَ سُهْمَانُنَا اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا وَنَفَّلَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بَعِيرًا بَعِيرًا

[Machine] We sent the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a military expedition. He had twelve camels that reached us, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sacrificed a camel after another camel.

بَعَثَنَا نَبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ فِي سَرِيَّةٍ بَلَغَتْ سُهْمَانُنَا اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا وَنَفَّلَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بَعِيرًا بَعِيرًا

Nafi’ reported on the authority of ‘Abd Allaah bin ‘Umar “The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ sent a detachment towards Najd. ‘Abd Allaah bin ‘Umar also accompanied it. They gained a large number of Camels as a booty. Their portion was twelve Camels each and they were rewarded (in addition) one Camel each. The version of Ibn Mawhab added “The Apostle of Allaah ﷺ did not change it” (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2744)
