“O Messenger of Allah! A man among us would be in the desert and a small smell would come from him, (what should he do) while the water is scarce? So the Messenger of Allah said: “When one of you breaks wind then let him perform Wudu, and do not go into your women in their behinds for indeed Allah is not shy of the truth.”

أَتَى أَعْرَابِيٌّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ الرَّجُلُ مِنَّا يَكُونُ فِي الْفَلاَةِ فَتَكُونُ مِنْهُ الرُّوَيْحَةُ وَيَكُونُ فِي الْمَاءِ قِلَّةٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا فَسَا أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ وَلاَ تَأْتُوا النِّسَاءَ فِي أَعْجَازِهِنَّ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَسْتَحْيِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ عُمَرَ وَخُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

“When one of you breaks wind then let him perform Wudu, and do not go into your women through their behinds.”

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا فَسَا أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ وَلاَ تَأْتُوا النِّسَاءَ فِي أَعْجَازِهِنَّ

That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Allah is not too shy to tell the truth,” three times. “Do not have intercourse with women in their buttocks.”

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَسْتَحْيِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ ثَلاَثَ مَرَّاتٍ لاَ تَأْتُوا النِّسَاءَ فِي أَدْبَارِهِنَّ

A Bedouin came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: O Messenger of Allah, what if we are in the desert and a little wind comes out of one of us? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, not too shy to tell the truth. If one of you does that, let him do wudooʿ. And do not approach women in their back passage [and once he said: in their anuses].ʿ

جَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّا نَكُونُ بِالْبَادِيَةِ فَتَخْرُجُ مِنْ أَحَدِنَا الرُّوَيْحَةُ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ لَا يَسْتَحْيِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ إِذَا فَعَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ وَلا تَأْتُوا النِّسَاءَ فِي أَعْجَازِهِنَّ وَقَالَ مَرَّةً فِي أَدْبَارِهِنَّ

That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Allah is not too shy to tell the truth,” three times. “Do not have intercourse with women in their buttocks.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1924)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ اللهَ لَا يَسْتَحْيِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ لَا تَأْتُوا النِّسَاءَ فِي أَدْبَارِهِنَّ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , saying: "When one of you wants to fart, let him perform ablution and not approach women during his state of impurity, for indeed Allah is not shy of the truth."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِذَا فَسَا أَحَدُكُم فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ وَلَا تَأْتُوا النِّسَاءَ فِي أَسْتَاهِهِنَّ فَإِنَّ اللهَ لَا يَسْتَحْيِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ

[AI] An Arab man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, we live in an area called Al-Falaa and sometimes one of us feels the call of nature but there is scarcity of water." The Prophet ﷺ said, "When one of you feels the urge, let him perform ablution and do not approach the women from behind, for Allah is not ashamed of the truth."

أَتَى أَعْرَابِيٌّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّا نَكُونُ بِأَرْضِ الْفَلَاةِ وَيَكُونُ مِنْ أَحَدِنَا الرُّوَيْحَةُ وَيَكُونُ فِي الْمَاءِ قِلَّةٌ قَالَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا فَسَا أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ وَلَا تَأْتُوا النِّسَاءَ فِي أَدْبَارِهِنَّ فَإِنَّ اللهَ لَا يَسْتَحْيِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , prohibited giving women from behind them, for Allah does not shy away from the truth.

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ تُؤْتِى النِّسَاءُ فِي أَدْبَارِهِنَّ فَإِنَّ اللهَ لَا يَسْتَحِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ

“When one of you breaks wind then let him perform Wudu, and do not go into your women through their behinds.” (Using translation from Tirmidhī 1166)

يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهُ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ أَحَدُنَا الرُّوَيْحَةُ قَالَ «إِذَا فَسَا أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ وَلَا تَأْتُوا النِّسَاءَ فِي أَعْجَازِهِنَّ»

[AI] An Arab man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "We live in a desert area where there is little water and a bad smell. The Prophet ﷺ said, "When one of you wants to go to his wife, let him perform ablution and do not approach women in their anuses, for Allah is not shy to tell the truth."

يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّا نَكُونُ فِي الْبَادِيَةِ فَتَكُونُ مِنْ أَحَدِنَا الرُّوَيْحَةُ فَقَالَ «إِنَّ اللهَ لَا يَسْتَحِيي مِنَ الْحَقِّ إِذَا فَسَا أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ وَلَا تَأْتُوا النِّسَاءَ فِي أَعْجَازِهِنَّ»

[AI] "A Bedouin came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, 'We stay in this desert and sometimes we become impure due to lack of water.' The Prophet ﷺ said, 'If any of you becomes impure and cannot find water, let him perform tayammum (ritual purification with clean soil or dust) and do not approach women sexually from behind, for Allah is not shy to state the truth.'"

أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ «إِنَّا نَكُونُ بِهَذِهِ الْبَادِيَةِ وَإِنَّهُ تَكُونُ مِنْ أَحَدِنَا الرُّوَيْحَةُ وَفِي الْمَاءِ قِلَّةٌ» فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «إِذَا فَسَا أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ وَلَا تَأْتُوا النِّسَاءَ فِي أَدْبَارِهِنَّ فَإِنَّ اللهَ لَا يَسْتَحْيِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ»

قَالَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ «الرَّجُلُ مِنَّا يَكُونُ بِالْأَرْضِ الْفَلَاةِ فَتَكُونُ مِنْهُ الرُّوَيْحَةُ وَيَكُونُ فِي الْمَاءِ قِلَّةٌ» فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا فَسَا أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ وَلَا تَأْتُوا النِّسَاءَ فِي أَعْجَازِهِنَّ فَإِنَّ اللهَ لَا يَسْتَحْيِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ»

[AI] "About the Prophet ﷺ, he said, 'If one of you becomes sexually impure, let him perform ablution and do not approach women in their rear (anus) because surely Allah is not shy to state the truth.'"

"عَنْ عَلِىِّ بْنِ طَلْقٍ قَالَ: أَتَى النَّبِىَّ ﷺ أَعْرَابِىٌّ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ الله الرَّجُلُ مِنَّا يَكُونُ بِأَرْضِ الْفَلاةِ فَيَكُونُ مِنْهُ الرُّوَيْحَةُ، وَيَكُونُ في الْفَلاةِ وَفِى الْمَاءِ قِلَّةٌ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ إِنَّ الله لَا يَسْتَحْيِى مِنَ الْحَقّ إِذَا فَسَا أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأ".
