“The Prophet looked at the moon and he said: ‘O Aishah! Do you seek refuge with Allah from the evil of this? For indeed this is Al-Ghasiqu Idha Waqab (The darkened one as it darkens).’”

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ نَظَرَ إِلَى الْقَمَرِ فَقَالَ يَا عَائِشَةُ اسْتَعِيذِي بِاللَّهِ مِنْ شَرِّ هَذَا فَإِنَّ هَذَا الْغَاسِقُ إِذَا وَقَبَ

[AI] 'Aisha said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took me by the hand and showed me the moon when it rose. He said, "Seek refuge in Allah from the evil of this darkening (event) when it descends."

قَالَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ أَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِيَدَيَّ فَأَرَانِي الْقَمَرَ حِينَ طَلَعَ فَقَالَ تَعَوَّذِي بِاللهِ مِنْ شَرِّ هَذَا الْغَاسِقِ إِذَا وَقَبَ

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took my hand and looked at the moon, then he said, 'O Aisha, seek refuge in Allah from the evil of this night when it overtakes.'"

أَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِيَدِي فَنَظَرَ إِلَى الْقَمَرِ فَقَالَ يَا عَائِشَةُ تَعَوَّذِي بِاللهِ مِنْ شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ هَذَا غَاسِقٌ إِذَا وَقَبَ

“The Prophet looked at the moon and he said: ‘O Aishah! Do you seek refuge with Allah from the evil of this? For indeed this is Al-Ghasiqu Idha Waqab (The darkened one as it darkens).’” (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3366)

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took my hand and pointed to the moon and said, 'O Aisha, seek refuge in Allah from the evil of this, for this is the eclipse when it occurs.'"

أَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِيَدِي ثُمَّ أَشَارَ إِلَى الْقَمَرِ فَقَالَ يَا عَائِشَةُ اسْتَعِيذِي بِاللهِ مِنْ شَرِّ هَذَا؟ فَإِنَّ هَذَا هُوَ الْغَاسِقُ إِذَا وَقَبَ

“The Prophet looked at the moon and he said: ‘O Aishah! Do you seek refuge with Allah from the evil of this? For indeed this is Al-Ghasiqu Idha Waqab (The darkened one as it darkens).’” (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3366)

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ took her hand and pointed with it to the moon, and said, "Seek refuge in Allah from the evil of this, for it is the time of eclipse." This hadith has an authentic chain of narration and it has not been narrated in a Sahih hadith collection.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَخَذَ بِيَدِهَا فَأَشَارَ بِهَا إِلَى الْقَمَرِ فَقَالَ «اسْتَعِيذِي بِاللَّهِ مِنْ شَرِّ هَذَا فَإِنَّهُ الْغَاسِقُ إِذَا وَقَبَ» صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ صحيح

أَخَذَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِيَدِي فَإِذَا الْقَمَرُ حِينَ طَلَعَ فَقَالَ «تَعَوَّذِي بِاللهِ مِنْ شَرِّ هَذَا هَذَا الْغَاسِقُ إِذَا وَقَبَ»

"تَعَوَّذُوا بِاللَّه مِن شَرِّ هَذا الغَاسِقِ إِذَا وقَبُ يَعنِى القَمَر".
