On the authority of his mother: I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ throwing pebbles at the jamrah from the botton of wadi (valley) while he was riding (on a camel). He was uttering the takbir (Allah is most great) with each pebble. A man behind him was shading him. I asked about the man. They (the people) said: He is al-Fadl b. al-'Abbas. The people crowded. The Prophet ﷺ said: 'O people, do not kill each other ; when you throw pebbled at the jamrah, throw small pebbles.

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَرْمِي الْجَمْرَةَ مِنْ بَطْنِ الْوَادِي وَهُوَ رَاكِبٌ يُكَبِّرُ مَعَ كُلِّ حَصَاةٍ وَرَجُلٌ مِنْ خَلْفِهِ يَسْتُرُهُ فَسَأَلْتُ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ فَقَالُوا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ وَازْدَحَمَ النَّاسُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ لاَ يَقْتُلْ بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضًا وَإِذَا رَمَيْتُمُ الْجَمْرَةَ فَارْمُوا بِمِثْلِ حَصَى الْخَذْفِ

“I saw the Prophet (saw0 on the Day of Sacrifice, at ‘Aqabah Pillar, riding a mule. He said: ‘O people! When you stone the Pillar, throw small pebbles.’”

رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ عِنْدَ جَمْرَةِ الْعَقَبَةِ وَهُوَ رَاكِبٌ عَلَى بَغْلَةٍ فَقَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِذَا رَمَيْتُمُ الْجَمْرَةَ فَارْمُوا بِمِثْلِ حَصَى الْخَذْفِ

[AI] "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pelting the Jamratul-'Aqabah (a stone pillar) from the bottom of the valley on the day of sacrifice, and he was saying, 'O people, let none of you kill another, nor harm one another. And when you throw stones, throw them like pebbles. He threw seven pebbles and did not stop. Behind him, there was a man who was covering him.' I asked, 'Who is this?' They said, 'Al-Fadl bin Abbas.'"

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَرْمِي جَمْرَةَ الْعَقَبَةِ مِنْ بَطْنِ الْوَادِي يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ لَا يَقْتُلُ بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضًا وَلَا يُصِيبُ بَعْضُكُمْ وَإِذَا رَمَيْتُمُ الْجَمْرَةَ فَارْمُوهَا بِمِثْلِ حَصَى الْخَذْفِ فَرَمَى بِسَبْعٍ وَلَمْ يَقِفْ وَخَلْفَهُ رَجُلٌ يَسْتُرُهُ قُلْتُ مَنْ هَذَا؟ قَالُوا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ

[AI] "From his mother, who had pledged allegiance to the Prophet ﷺ , she said: I heard the Messenger of Allah saying while throwing pebbles at the Jamrah in the middle of the valley: O people, do not kill one another. And when you stone the Jamrah, throw it with similar stones to those used for pelting."

عَنْ أُمِّهِ وَكَانَتْ بَايَعَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ يَقُولُ وَهُوَ يَرْمِي الْجَمْرَةَ مِنْ بَطْنِ الْوَادِي وَهُوَ يَقُولُ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ لَا يَقْتُلْ بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضًا وَإِذَا رَمَيْتُمُ الْجَمْرَةَ فَارْمُوهَابِمِثْلِ حَصَى الْخَذْفِ

[AI] "O people, do not kill one another when you throw the pebbles (at the Jamrah during Hajj). Throw them in a way similar to the stones of the throwing and recite its Isnad (chain of narrators) which exceeds that of Sulaiman bin Amr bin al-Ahwas from his mother, meaning from the Prophet ﷺ."

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ لَا يَقْتُلْ بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضًا إِذَا رَمَيْتُمُ الْجَمْرَةَ فَارْمُوهَا بِمِثْلِ حَصَى الْخَذْفِ وَقُرِئَ عَلَيْهِ إِسْنَادُهُ يَزِيدُ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ أُمِّهِ يَعْنِي عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ

[AI] "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ throwing the Jamarat Al-Aqaba on the day of Sacrifice from the bottom of the valley, and he said, 'O people, do not kill each other. And when you throw the pebbles, throw them like the size of a fast-flying dart.' She said, 'He threw seven pebbles and then left without stopping.' She said, 'There was a man behind him who was protecting him from the people.' So I asked about him and they said, 'He is al-Fadl bin Abbas.'"

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَرْمِي جَمْرَةَ الْعَقَبَةِ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ مِنْ بَطْنِ الْوَادِي وَهُوَ يَقُولُ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ لَا يَقْتُلَنَّ بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضًا وَإِذَا رَمَيْتُمُ الْجِمَارَ فَارْمُوا بِمِثْلِ حَصَى الْخَذْفِ قَالَتْ فَرَمَى سَبْعًا ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ وَلَمْ يَقِفْ قَالَتْ وَخَلْفَهُ رَجُلٌ يَسْتُرُهُ مِنَ النَّاسِ فَسَأَلْتُ عَنْهُ فَقَالُوا هُوَ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ

[AI] She saw the Prophet ﷺ at the Jamrah, and he was saying, "Do not kill one another, and throw the pebbles like the stones of the Khadaf."

أَنَّهَا رَأَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عِنْدَ الْجَمْرَةِ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ «لَا يَقْتُلْ بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضًا وَارْمُوا بِمِثْلِ حَصَى الْخَذْفِ»

[AI] "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ throwing the Jamarat al-Aqabah on the Day of Sacrifice from the valley and he was saying, 'O people, do not kill one another, and throw stones similar to the size of a pebble.' [AI] I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ throwing stones at the Jamarat from the bottom of the valley, and a man standing behind him protecting him from the stones. The Prophet ﷺ said, "O people, do not kill each other, and when you throw the stones at the Jamarat, throw them as if they were the pebbles of Hammurabi."

رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَرْمِي الْجَمْرَةَ مِنْ بَطْنِ الْوَادِي وَرَجُلٌ مِنْ خَلْفِهِ يَقِيهِ الْحِجَارَةَ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ لَا يَقْتُلْ بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضًا وَإِذَا رَمَيْتُمُ الْجَمْرَةَ فَارْمُوا بِمِثْلِ حَصَى الْخَذْفِ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the depth of the valley while he was stoning the Jamrah (the pillar representing Satan), and he was saying, "O people, do not kill one another, and when you stone the Jamrah, throw pebbles like the size of Al-Khadhf."
