[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , "How bad it is for one of you to say, 'I have forgotten such and such verse,' while in fact, he has been made to forget."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِئْسَمَا لِأَحَدِكُمْ أَنْ يَقُولَ نَسِيتُ آيَةَ كَيْتَ وَكَيْتَ بَلْ هُوَ نُسِّيَ
ذِكْرُ الزَّجْرِ عَنْ أَنْ يَقُولَ الْمَرْءُ نَسِيتُ آيَةَ كَيْتَ وَكَيْتَ
[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "None of you should say, 'I have forgotten a verse, but I remember part of it.' For indeed, he has not forgotten it, but rather, it has been made to be forgotten."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا يَقُولُ أَحَدُكُمْ نَسِيتُ آيَةَ كَيْتَ وَكَيْتَ فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ هُوَ نَسِيَ وَلَكِنَّهُ نُسِّيَ»

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ نَسِيتُ آيَةَ كَذَا وَكَذَا بَلْ هُوَ نُسِيَّ
[AI] On the authority of Ibn Mas'ud, the Prophet ﷺ mentioned: "None of you should say, 'I have forgotten such and such a verse, but you know the gist of it.' Indeed, he has not forgotten it, but he has been made to forget it."
عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ وَذَكَرَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ نَسِيتُ آيَةَ كَيْتَ وَكَيْتَ؛ فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ هُوَ نَسِيَ وَلَكِنَّهُ نُسِّيَ
