The Prophet ﷺ said, "Why does anyone of the people say, 'I have forgotten such-and-such Verses (of the Qur'an)?' He, in fact, is caused (by Allah) to forget."

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مَا لأَحَدِهِمْ يَقُولُ نَسِيتُ آيَةَ كَيْتَ وَكَيْتَ بَلْ هُوَ نُسِّيَ

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , "How bad it is for one of you to say, 'I have forgotten such and such verse,' while in fact, he has been made to forget."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِئْسَمَا لِأَحَدِكُمْ أَنْ يَقُولَ نَسِيتُ آيَةَ كَيْتَ وَكَيْتَ بَلْ هُوَ نُسِّيَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "None of you should say, 'I have forgotten a verse, but I remember part of it.' For indeed, he has not forgotten it, but rather, it has been made to be forgotten."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا يَقُولُ أَحَدُكُمْ نَسِيتُ آيَةَ كَيْتَ وَكَيْتَ فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ هُوَ نَسِيَ وَلَكِنَّهُ نُسِّيَ»

قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَا يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ نَسِيتُ آيَةَ كَيْتَ وَكَيْتَ بَلْ هُوَ نُسِّيَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ نَسِيتُ آيَةَ كَذَا وَكَذَا بَلْ هُوَ نُسِيَّ

[AI] On the authority of Ibn Mas'ud, the Prophet ﷺ mentioned: "None of you should say, 'I have forgotten such and such a verse, but you know the gist of it.' Indeed, he has not forgotten it, but he has been made to forget it."

عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ وَذَكَرَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ نَسِيتُ آيَةَ كَيْتَ وَكَيْتَ؛ فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ هُوَ نَسِيَ وَلَكِنَّهُ نُسِّيَ

[AI] About the Prophet ﷺ he said, "None of you should say, 'I have forgotten a verse from the Quran which I used to know.' For indeed, it is not that he has forgotten, but rather it has been taken away from him."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ إِنِّي نَسِيتُ آيَةَ كَيْتَ وَكَيْتَ فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ هُوَ نَسِيَ وَلَكِنَّهُ نُسِّيَ

[AI] About the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "How bad it is for one of you to say, 'I have forgotten a verse, but it has been abandoned and forgotten."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ بِئْسَمَا لِأَحَدِكُمْ أَنْ يَقُولَ نَسِيتُ آيَةَ كَيْتَ وَكَيْتَ بَلْ هُوَ نُسِّيَ

[AI] To say "I forgot the verse of Kit and Kat, rather, it was forgotten."

أَنْ يَقُولَ نَسِيتُ آيَةَ كَيْتَ وَكَيْتَ بَلْ هُوَ نُسِّيَ

"لا يَقُلْ أحَدُكُمْ: نَسِيتُ آيَةَ كَيتَ وَكيتَ، بَلْ هُوَ نُسّى".
