A believer does not receive (the trouble) of running a thorn or more than that but Allah elevates him in rank or effaces his sins because of that.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَا يُصِيبُ الْمُؤْمِنَ مِنْ شَوْكَةٍ فَمَا فَوْقَهَا إِلاَّ رَفَعَهُ اللَّهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً أَوْ حَطَّ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةً

Do not pluck out grey hair. If any believer grows a grey hair in Islam, he will have light on the Day of Resurrection. (This is Sufyan's version). Yahya's version says: Allah will record on his behalf a good deed for it, and will blot out a sin for it.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ تَنْتِفُوا الشَّيْبَ مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يَشِيبُ شَيْبَةً فِي الإِسْلاَمِ قَالَ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ إِلاَّ كَانَتْ لَهُ نُورًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَقَالَ فِي حَدِيثِ يَحْيَى إِلاَّ كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَهُ بِهَا حَسَنَةً وَحَطَّ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةً

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not pluck out gray hair, as it is a light for the Muslim. Every Muslim who has a gray hair in Islam, a good deed is recorded for him because of it, and he will be elevated in rank or a sin will be removed from him because of it."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تَنْتِفُوا الشَّيْبَ فَإِنَّهُ نُورُ الْمُسْلِمِ مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يَشِيبُ شَيْبَةً فِي الْإِسْلَامِ إِلَّا كُتِبَ لَهُبِهَا حَسَنَةٌ وَرُفِعَ بِهَا دَرَجَةً أَوْ حُطَّ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةٌ

[AI] About the Prophet ﷺ said, "Do not pluck out gray hair, as for every Muslim slave who grows gray hair in Islam, Allah writes for him a good deed for it and erases from him a sin through it."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تَنْتِفُوا الشَّيْبَ فَإِنَّهُ مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ يَشِيبُ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ شَيْبَةً إِلَّا كَتَبَ اللهُ لَهُ بِهَا حَسَنَةًوَحَطَّ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةً

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited plucking the gray hair, and he said, "It is the light of the believer." He also said, "No man becomes gray in Islam except that Allah raises him in rank by it, eradicates an evil from him by it, and writes a good deed for him because of it."

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ نَتْفِ الشَّيْبِ وَقَالَ هُوَ نُورُ الْمُؤْمِنِ وَقَالَ مَا شَابَ رَجُلٌ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ شَيْبَةً إِلَّا رَفَعَهُ اللهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً وَمُحِيَتْ عَنْهُ بِهَا سَيِّئَةٌ وَكُتِبَتْ لَهُ بِهَا حَسَنَةٌ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Do not pluck out gray hair, for it is the light of a Muslim. Whoever has gray hair in Islam, Allah will write for him a good deed for every strand of gray hair, and He will erase a sin for him with it, and He will raise him in status with it."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تَنْتِفُوا الشَّيْبَ فَإِنَّهُ نُورُ الْمُسْلِمِ مَنْ شَابَ شَيْبَةً فِي الْإِسْلَامِ كَتَبَ اللهُ لَهُ بِهَا حَسَنَةً وَكَفَّرَ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةً وَرَفَعَهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً

[AI] We narrated from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who said, "You all lie against me." And he said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'There is no Muslim who prostrates to Allah in a prostration except that Allah raises him in rank and removes a sin from him with it.'

حَدِّثْنَا عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ تَكْذِبُونَ عَلَيَّوَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يَسْجُدُ لِلَّهِ سَجْدَةً إِلَّا رَفَعَهُ اللهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً وَحَطَّ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةً

[AI] We have narrated about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he said: "You lie upon me. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'There is no Muslim who prostrates to Allah in a single prostration except that Allah raises him in rank by it and removes from him a sin by it.'

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَا مِنْ مُؤْمِنٍ يُشَاكُ شَوْكَةً فَمَا فَوْقَهَا إِلَّا كُتِبَ لَهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةٌ وَكُفِّرَ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةٌ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا يُصِيبُ الْمُؤْمِنَ شَوْكَةٌ فَمَا فَوْقَهَا إِلَّا قَصَّ اللهُ بِهَا عَنْهُ خَطِيئَةً

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "There is no Muslim who is pricked by a thorn or anything higher than it, but Allah will raise him in status and forgive him his sins because of it."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يُشَاكُ شَوْكَةً فَمَا فَوْقَهَا إِلَّا رُفَعَهُ اللَّهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً وَحَطَّ بِهَا عَنْهُ خَطِيئَةً»

That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever develops some gray hair in the cause of Allah, it shall be a light for him in the Day of Judgement. (Using translation from Tirmidhī 1635)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ شَابَ شَيْبَةً فِي الْإِسْلَامِ كَانَتْ لَهُ نُورًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ»

[AI] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "Do not pluck out gray hair, as it will be a light on the Day of Judgment. And whoever has gray hair in Islam, good deeds will be written for him because of it, and his sins will be forgiven through it, and he will be elevated in rank because of it."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا تَنْتِفُوا الشَّيْبَ فَإِنَّهُ نُورٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَمَنْ شَابَ شَيْبَةً فِي الْإِسْلَامِ كُتِبَ لَهُ بِهَا حَسَنَةٌ وَحُطَّ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةٌ وَرُفِعَ لَهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةٌ»

عَن رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ كل خطوة يخطوها أحدكم إلى الصلاة يكتب له بها حسنة ويمحى عنه بها خطيئة ويرفع له بها درجة

[AI] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "Whoever grows grey hair in Islam will have light on the Day of Resurrection, and whoever throws an arrow in the path of Allah, his rank will be elevated by it."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ شَابَ شَيْبَةً فِي الْإِسْلَامِ كَانَتْ لَهُ نُورًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَمَنْ رَمَى بِسَهْمٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ رُفِعَ لَهُ بِهِ دَرَجَةً»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not pluck out gray hair, for surely one of you does not become gray-haired in Islam, except that Allah raises him in rank with it and writes for him a good deed by it, and erases by it a bad deed."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تَنْزِعُوا الشَّيْبَ فَإِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ لَا يَشِيبُ شَيْبَةً فِي الْإِسْلَامِ إِلَّا رَفَعَهُ اللهُ تَعَالَى بِهَا دَرَجَةً وَكَتَبَ لَهُ بِهَا حَسَنَةً وَمَحَا عَنْهُ بِهَا سَيِّئَةً

"مَا مِنْ رَجُلٍ مُسْلمٍ يُصَابُ بِشَيْءٍ في جَسَدِه فَيَتَصَدَّقُ بِه، إِلا رَفَعَهُ الله بِه دَرَجة، وَحَط عَنْهُ بِه خَطيئَةً".

"مَا مِنْ شَيءٍ يُصِيبُ المُؤْمِنَ حتَّى الشَّوْكَة تُصِيبُهُ، إِلا كَتَبَ اللهُ لَهُ بِهَا حَسَنَةً، أَوْ حُطَّتْ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةٌ".

"مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ يسْجُدُ لله سَجْدةً إِلا كَتَبَ اللهُ لهُ بها حسَنَةً وَحطَّ عنْهُ بها خَطِيئةً".

"مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ يَسْجُدُ للهِ سجْدَةً إِلا رَفَعَهُ الله بِها درجةً، وَحَطَّ عَنْهُ بهَا خَطِيئَةً".

"مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يُشَاكُ شَوْكةً فَما فَوقَها إِلا كُتِبَتْ لَهُ بِها دَرَجَةٌ، وَمُحيت عَنْه بها خَطيئَةٌ".

"مَا مِنْ مُسْلِم يَشِيبُ شَيبَةً في الإِسْلامِ إِلَّا كتَب الله لَه بهَا حَسَنَةً، وَحَطَّ عَنْه بها خَطيئَةً".

"مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يُصابُ في شَيْءٍ مِنْ جسَدِهِ فَيَهَبُهُ إِلا رَفَعَهُ الله بِهِ دَرَجَةً وَحطَّ عَنْهُ بِهِ خطِيئَةً".

"مَنْ سَجَدَ لله سَجْدَةً كَتَبَ الله لَهُ بِها حَسَنَةً وَحَطَّ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةً، وَرَفَعَ لَهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً".

"مَنْ شَابَ شَيبَةً في الإِسلام كُتِبَ له بِها حَسَنَة، ومحيت عنه بها خَطيئة".

" لَا تَنْتفُوا الشَّيْبَ فَإِنَّهُ نُورُ الإِسْلَامِ، مَا مِن مُسْلِمٍ يَشِيبُ شَيْبَةً في الإِسْلَا إِلَّا كَانَتْ له نُورًا يومَ الْقِيَامَةِ".

"لَا تَنْتفُوا الشَّيْبَ فَإِنَّهُ نُورٌ يَوْمَ ألقِيَامَة، وَمَنْ شَابَ شَيْبَةً فِى الإِسْلَامِ كُتِبَ لَهُ بِهَا حَسَنَةٌ، وَحُطَّ عَنهُ بِهَا خَطيْئَةٌ، وَرُفِعَ لَهُ بهَا دَرَجةٌ".

"لا يُصِيبُ الْمُؤْمنَ شَوْكَةٌ فَمَا فَوْقَهَا إِلا رَفَعَهُ اللهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً، وَحَطَّ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةً".
