The Prophet ﷺ said: If anyone guards a believer from a hypocrite, Allah will send an angel who will guard his flesh on the Day of Resurrection from the fire of Jahannam; but if anyone attacks a Muslim saying something by which he wishes to disgrace him, he will be restrained by Allah on the bridge over Jahannam till he is acquitted of what he said.  

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ حَمَى مُؤْمِنًا مِنْ مُنَافِقٍ أُرَاهُ قَالَ بَعَثَ اللَّهُ مَلَكًا يَحْمِي لَحْمَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ وَمَنْ رَمَى مُسْلِمًا بِشَىْءٍ يُرِيدُ شَيْنَهُ بِهِ حَبَسَهُ اللَّهُ عَلَى جِسْرِ جَهَنَّمَ حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ مِمَّا قَالَ  

The Prophet ﷺ said: If anyone guards a believer from a hypocrite, Allah will send an angel who will guard his flesh on the Day of Resurrection from the fire of Jahannam; but if anyone attacks a Muslim saying something by which he wishes to disgrace him, he will be restrained by Allah on the bridge over Jahannam till he is acquitted of what he said. عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ حَمَى مُؤْمِنًا مِنْ مُنَافِقٍ يَعِيبُهُ بَعَثَ اللهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى مَلَكًا يَحْمِي لَحْمَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ وَمَنْ بَغَى مُؤْمِنًا بِشَيْءٍ يُرِيدُ بِهِ شَيْنَهُ حَبَسَهُ اللهُ تَعَالَى عَلَى جِسْرِ جَهَنَّمَ حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ مِمَّا قَالَ  

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever protects a believer from a hypocrite who backbites him, Allah will send an angel to protect his flesh from the fire of Hell on the Day of Resurrection. And whoever withholds something harmful from a Muslim, Allah will detain him on the bridge of Hell until he comes out of what he has said."  

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ حَمَى مُؤْمِنًا مِنْ مُنَافِقٍ يَغْتَابُهُ بَعَثَ اللهُ مَلَكًا يَحْمِي لَحْمَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ وَمَنْ قَفَّا مُسْلِمًا بِشَيْءٍ يُرِيدُ شَيْنَهُ بِهِ حَبَسَهُ اللهُ عَلَى جِسْرِ جَهَنَّمَ حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ مِمَّا قَالَ»
