Abu Hurayra reported that the Prophet ﷺ said, "If a man looks into your house and you take some pebbles and gouge out his eye, there is no fault in you."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَوْ اطَّلَعَ رَجُلٌ فِي بَيْتِكَ فَخَذَفْتَهُ بِحَصَاةٍ فَفَقَأْتَ عَيْنَهُ مَا كَانَ عَلَيْكَ جُنَاحٌ

Abul Qasim said, "If any person peeps at you without your permission and you poke him with a stick and injure his eye, you will not be blamed."

أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ لَوْ أَنَّ امْرَأً اطَّلَعَ عَلَيْكَ بِغَيْرِ إِذْنٍ فَخَذَفْتَهُ بِعَصَاةٍ فَفَقَأْتَ عَيْنَهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ عَلَيْكَ جُنَاحٌ

If a person were to cast a glance in your (house) without permission, and you had in your hand a staff and you would have thrust that in his eyes, there is no harm for you.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلاً اطَّلَعَ عَلَيْكَ بِغَيْرِ إِذْنٍ فَخَذَفْتَهُ بِحَصَاةٍ فَفَقَأْتَ عَيْنَهُ مَا كَانَ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ جُنَاحٍ

"If a person were to look at you without permission and you were to throw a stone at him and put out his eye, there would be no blame on you."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَوْ أَنَّ امْرَأً اطَّلَعَ عَلَيْكَ بِغَيْرِ إِذْنٍ فَخَذَفْتَهُ فَفَقَأْتَ عَيْنَهُ مَا كَانَ عَلَيْكَ حَرَجٌ وَقَالَ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى جُنَاحٌ

[AI] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said: "If a man were to look and say, ‘If only I had not seen a certain woman without your permission,’ then you should throw a pebble at him, causing him to lose his eye. There would be no blame on you for doing so."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلًا اطَّلَعَ وَقَالَ مَرَّةً لَوْ أَنَّ امْرَأً اطَّلَعَ بِغَيْرِ إِذْنِكَ فَخَذَفْتَهُ بِحَصَاةٍ فَفَقَأْتَ عَيْنَهُ مَا كَانَ عَلَيْكَ جُنَاحٌ

[AI] "Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, 'If a man were to maliciously intrude into your house, and you were to throw a stone at him and accidentally damage his eye, you would not be held accountable.'"

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَأَبَا الزِّنَادِ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلًا اطَّلَعَ عَلَيْكَ فِي بَيْتِكَ فَحَذَفْتَهُ بِحَصَاةٍ فَفَقَأْتَ عَيْنَهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ عَلَيْكَ جُنَاحٌ

[AI] On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he said, "If a person were to look at you with evil intent, and you were to gouge out their eye, you would not be blamed for it." Isma'il narrated this to us on the authority of Aqib, who narrated it to us on the authority of 'Isa ibn Hammad, who narrated it to us on the authority of Layth, who narrated it to us on the authority of Ibn 'Ajlān, who narrated it to us on the authority of Abu al-Zinad, who narrated it to us on the authority of al-A'raj, who narrated it to us on the authority of Abu Hurairah, who narrated it to us on the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with the same wording.

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَوْ أَنَّ إِنْسَانًا اطَّلَعَ عَلَيْكَ فَحَذَفْتَ عَيْنَهُ فَفَقَأْتَهَا لَمَا كَانَ عَلَيْكَ جُنَاحٌ» أَخْبَرَنَاهُ إِسْمَاعِيلُ فِي عَقِبِهِ حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِمِثْلِ ذَلِكَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If someone enters your house without permission and you throw a stone at him that causes him to lose an eye, you are not at fault."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَوِ اطَّلَعَ أَحَدٌ فِي بَيْتِكَ وَلَمْ تَأْذَنْ لَهُ فَخَذَفْتَهُ بِحَصَاةٍ فَفَقَأْتَ عَيْنَهُ مَا كَانَ عَلَيْكَ جُنَاحٌ»

"If a person were to look at you without permission and you were to throw a stone at him and put out his eye, there would be no blame on you." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4861)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَوْ أَنَّ امْرَأً اطَّلَعَ عَلَيْكَ بِغَيْرِ إِذْنٍ فَخَذَفْتَهُ فَفَقَأْتَ عَيْنَهُ مَا كَانَ عَلَيْكَ حَرَجٌ» وَقَالَ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى «جُنَاحٌ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said: "If someone looks at you without permission, throw a stone at him and knock out his eye. There is no blame on you for doing so."

النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَوْ أَنَّ امْرَأً اطَّلَعَ عَلَيْكَ بِغَيْرِ إِذْنٍ فَحَذَفْتَهُ بِحَصَاةٍ فَفَقَأْتَ عَيْنَهُ مَا كَانَ عَلَيْكَ جُنَاحٌ

"لَوْ أنَّ امْرءًا اطَّلَعَ عَلَيكَ بِغَيرِ إِذنٍ فَحَذَفْتَهُ بِحَصَاةٍ فَفَقَأتَ عَينَهُ، لَمْ يكُنْ عَلَيكَ جُنَاحٌ".
