Satan doesn’t wear folded clothes

suyuti:3427aJābir

Fold your clothes so that their spirits may return to them “for when Satan finds a garment folded, he does not wear it; but when he finds it spread out, he wears it.”

al-Ṭabarānī in *al-Awsaṭ* on the authority of Jābir.
السيوطي:٣٤٢٧a

suyuti:11144aJābir

“The devils take pleasure in your clothes, so when one of you removes his garment, let him fold it until its breath returns to it, for the devil does not wear a folded garment.”

Ibn ʿAsākir, in his *History*, narrated it from Jābir; in its chain is Yāsīn b. Muʿādh, who is abandoned (i.e., unreliable). Ibn Ḥibbān said: “He narrates fabricated reports.”
