" عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِى الْجَعْد، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الله أَنَّ رَسُولَ الله ﷺ قَالَ: يَجْزِى مِنَ الْغُسْلِ صَاعٌ، وَمِنَ الْوُضُوءِ الْمُدُّ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: لاَ يَكْفِينِى، فَقَالَ: قَدْ كَفَى خَيْرًا مِنْكَ وَأكْثَرَ شَعْرًا".

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'A Mudd is sufficient for the ablution and a Sa' is sufficient for the bath.' A man said: 'It is not sufficient for us.'" He (the narrator) said: "It was sufficient for one who is better than you and had more hair" meaning the Prophet.

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "The amount of water needed for ablution is a handful, and the amount of water needed for purification from sexual impurity is a complete sa'a." A man asked, "What if that is not sufficient for me?" Jabir replied, "It is sufficient for someone who is better than you and has more hair. That is the teaching of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «يُجْزِئُ مِنَ الْوُضُوءِ الْمُدُّ وَمَنَ الْجَنَابَةِ الصَّاعُ» فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ لَا يَكْفِينَا ذَلِكَ يَا جَابِرُ فَقَالَ «قَدْ كَفَى مَنْ هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِنْكَ وَأَكْثَرُ شَعْرًا»  

«هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ بِهَذَا اللَّفْظِ» على شرطهما
