[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, may peace be upon him, said, "A measure of water is sufficient for ablution, and a Sa' is sufficient for sexual impurity." A man said to him, "That is not enough for us, O Jabir." He replied, "It is enough for someone who is better than you and has more hair."  

الحاكم:٥٧٥ – حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْفَقِيهُ أَنْبَأَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «يُجْزِئُ مِنَ الْوُضُوءِ الْمُدُّ وَمَنَ الْجَنَابَةِ الصَّاعُ» فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ لَا يَكْفِينَا ذَلِكَ يَا جَابِرُ فَقَالَ «قَدْ كَفَى مَنْ هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِنْكَ وَأَكْثَرُ شَعْرًا»  

«هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ بِهَذَا اللَّفْظِ» على شرطهما

ابن ماجة:٢٧٠ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُؤَمَّلِ بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ وَعَبَّادُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ زَبَّانَ حَدَّثَنَا حِبَّانُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلِ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُجْزِئُ مِنَ الْوُضُوءِ مُدٌّ وَمِنَ الْغُسْلِ صَاعٌ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ لاَ يُجْزِئُنَا فَقَالَ قَدْ كَانَ يُجْزِئُ مَنْ هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِنْكَ وَأَكْثَرُ شَعَرًا يَعْنِي النَّبِيَّ ﷺ

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "The amount of water needed for ablution is a handful, and the amount of water needed for purification from sexual impurity is a complete sa'a." A man asked, "What if that is not sufficient for me?" Jabir replied, "It is sufficient for someone who is better than you and has more hair. That is the teaching of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ."  

أحمد:١٤٩٧٦ – حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي زِيَادٍ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ

" عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِى الْجَعْد، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الله أَنَّ رَسُولَ الله ﷺ قَالَ: يَجْزِى مِنَ الْغُسْلِ صَاعٌ، وَمِنَ الْوُضُوءِ الْمُدُّ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: لاَ يَكْفِينِى، فَقَالَ: قَدْ كَفَى خَيْرًا مِنْكَ وَأكْثَرَ شَعْرًا".
