From his father, who said that the Prophet ﷺ said: "When one of you buys meat, then let him increase its broth. For, if he does not find any meat you'll have broth; and it is one of the two meats." And there are narrations on this topic from Abu Dharr. (Using translation from Tirmidhī 1832)
" إذَا اشْترى أحدُكم لحمًا فليُكثر مَرَقته، فإنْ لم يُصبْ أحدُكم لحمًا أصابَ مرقًا، وهو أحدُ اللَّحْمين" .

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا اشْتَرَى أَحَدُكُمْ لَحْمًا فَلْيُكْثِرْ مَرَقَتَهُ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ لَحْمًا أَصَابَ مَرَقَةً وَهُوَ أَحَدُ اللَّحْمَيْنِ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When any one of you buys meat, increase its soup (stock). If any one of you does not have meat, let him hit (by spoon) the soup which is one of the meat."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِذَا اشْتَرَى أَحَدُكُمْ لَحْمًا فَأَكْثَرَ مَرَقَهُ فَإِنْ لَمْ يُصِبْ أَحَدُكُمْ لَحْمًا أَصَابَ مَرَقًا وَهُوَ أَحَدُ اللَّحْمَيْنِ»
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you buys meat, let him increase its broth, for if one of you does not get meat, he will receive broth, and it is part of the two meats."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا اشْتَرَى أَحَدُكُمْ لَحْمًا فَلْيُكْثِرْ مَرَقَهُ فَإِنْ لَمْ يُصِبْ أَحَدُكُمْ لَحْمًا أَصَابَ مَرَقًا وَهُوَ أَحَدُ اللَّحْمَيْنِ»
"إِذَا اشترى أحدُكم لحمًا فليكثر مرقته، فإن لم يُصب مِنَ اللحم أصاب من المرق، وهو أحد اللَّحْمين وليغْرفْ لجيرانه" .
