"الْفَجْرُ فَجْرَان: فأمَّا الْفَجْرُ الأَوَّلُ فَإِنَّهُ لا يُحَرِّمُ الطَّعَامَ ولا يُحِلُّ الصَّلاةَ، وَأَمَّا الثَّانِي فَإِنَّهُ يُحَرِّم الطَّعَامَ ويُحِلُّ الصَّلاةَ" .

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Dawn is of two types. As for the first type, it does not prohibit eating nor permit prayer. And as for the second type, it prohibits eating and permits prayer."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الْفَجْرُ فَجْرَانِ فَأَمَّا الْأَوَّلُ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يُحَرِّمُ الطَّعَامَ وَلَا يُحِلُّ الصَّلَاةَ وَأَمَّا الثَّانِي فَإِنَّهُ يُحَرِّمُ الطَّعَامَ وَيُحِلُّ الصَّلَاةَ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: There are two types of dawn. As for the dawn that appears like the tail of a wolf, prayer is not permissible at that time but eating is permissible. However, as for the dawn that spreads horizontally in the sky, prayer is permissible and eating is not permissible.
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الْفَجْرُ فَجْرَانِ فَأَمَّا الْفَجْرُ الَّذِي يَكُونُ كَذَنَبِ السَّرْحَانِ فَلَا تَحِلُّ الصَّلَاةُ فِيهِ وَلَا يَحْرُمُ الطَّعَامُ وَأَمَّا الَّذِي يَذْهَبُ مُسْتَطِيلًا فِي الْأُفُقِ فَإِنَّهُ يُحِلُّ الصَّلَاةَ وَيُحَرِّمُ الطَّعَامَ
"الْفَجْرُ فَجْرَان: فَأَمَّا الْفَجْر الَّذِي يَكُونُ كَذَنَب السِّرْحَانِ فلا يُحِلُّ الصَّلاةَ، ولا يُحَرِّم الطَّعَامَ وأَمَّا الَّذي يَذْهَب مسْتَطيلًا في الأفُقُ فإنَّهُ يُحِل الصَّلاةَ وَيُحَرِّمُ الطَّعَامَ" .
