17. Prohibited Actions
١٧۔ كتاب الأمور المنهي عنها
the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "It is enough of a lie for a man to narrate everything he hears."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «كَفَى بِالْمَرْءِ كَذِبًا أَنْ يُحَدِّثَ بِكُلِّ مَا سَمِعَ۔»
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: '"Whoever narrates a Hadith from me thinking it to be false, then he is one of the two liars."
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ حَدَّثَ عَنِّي بِحَدِيثٍ وَهُوَ يَرَى أَنَّهُ كَذِبٌ فَهُوَ أَحَدُ الْكَاذِبَيْنِ
The Prophet ﷺ said: '"Whoever narrated a Hadith from me thinking it to be false, then he is one of the two liars."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ حَدَّثَ عَنِّي حَدِيثًا وَهُوَ يَرَى أَنَّهُ كَذِبٌ فَهُوَ أَحَدُ الْكَاذِبَيْنِ
The Prophet ﷺ said: '"Whoever narrates a Hadith from me thinking it to be false, then he is one of the two liars." (Either the one who invents a lie or the one who repeats it; both are liars).
