a Bedouin came to the door of the prophet and put his eye to the crack. The Prophet saw him and intended to put his eye out with a sword or a stick. When he saw him , he stopped, and the Prophet said to hi: "If you had persisted, I would have put your eye out." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4858)   

أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَأَلْقَمْ عَيْنَهُ خُصًّا فَبَصُرَ بِهِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَتَوَخَّاهُ بِعُودٍ أَوْ حَدِيدَةٍ لِيَفْقَأَ بِهَا عَيْنَهُ فَلَمَّا أَبْصَرَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ انْقَمَعَ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «أَمَا إِنَّكَ لَوْ ثَبَتَّ لَفَقَأْتُ عَيْنَكَ»  

a Bedouin came to the door of the prophet and put his eye to the crack. The Prophet saw him and intended to put his eye out with a sword or a stick. أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا أَتَى بَابَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَأَلْقَمَ عَيْنَهُ خَصَاصَةَ الْبَابِ فَضَرَبَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَتَوَخَّاهُ بِحَدِيدَةٍ أَوْ عُودٍ لِيَفْقَأَ عَيْنَهُ فَلَمَّا أَنْ بَصُرَ انْقَمَعَ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «أَمَا إِنَّكَ لَوْ ثَبَتَّ لَفَقَأْتُ عَيْنَكَ»  

[Machine] "A Bedouin man came to the Prophet ﷺ and hit his eye on the door latch. The Prophet ﷺ put a specific stick on it and the eye of the Bedouin man was cured. He said, 'If it had stayed, I would have taken out your eye.'"  

أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا أَتَى بَابَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَأَلْقَمَ عَيْنَهُ خَصَاصَةَ الْبَابِ فَبَصُرَ بِهِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَأَخَذَ عُودًا مُحَدَّدًا فَوَجَأَ عَيْنَ الْأَعْرَابِيِّ فَانْقَمَعَ فَقَالَ لَوْ ثَبَتَّ لَفَقَأْتُ عَيْنَكَ  

Anas ibn Malik reported that a bedouin came to the house of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and put his eye to the crack of the door. Therefore the Prophet took an arrow or a sharp stick and aimed it at the bedouin as to gouge out his eye. The man left and the Prophet said, "If you had stayed, I would have gouged out your eye."  

أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا أَتَى بَيْتَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَلْقَمَ عَيْنَهُ خَصَاصَةَ الْبَابِ فَأَخَذَ سَهْمًا أَوْ عُودًا مُحَدَّدًا فَتَوَخَّى الأعْرَابِيَّ لِيَفْقَأَ عَيْنَ الأعْرَابِيِّ فَذَهَبَ فَقَالَ أَمَا إِنَّكَ لَوْ ثَبَتَّ لَفَقَأْتُ عَيْنَكَ  

"أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيّا أتَى النَّبِىَّ ﷺ فَأَلْقَمَ عَيْنَهُ خَصَاصَةَ البَابِ، فَبَصُرَ بِهِ النَّبِىُّ ﷺ , فَتَوَخَّاهُ بِعُودٍ أَوْ حَدِيدَةٍ لِيَفْقأَ بِهَا عَيْنَهُ، فَلَمَّا أَبْصَرَ النَّبِىَّ ﷺ انْقَمَعَ، فَقَالَ: لَوْ ثَبَتَّ لَفَقَأتُ عَيْنَكَ".
