I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: He who observes prayer before the rising of the sun and its setting, i.e. the dawn prayer and the afternoon prayer, would not enter the (Hell) fire. A person belonging to Basra said to him: Did you yourself hear it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ? He said: Yes. The person (from Basra) said: I bear witness that I heard it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ; my ears heard it and my heart retained it.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَنْ يَلِجَ النَّارَ أَحَدٌ صَلَّى قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ غُرُوبِهَا يَعْنِي الْفَجْرَ وَالْعَصْرَ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَصْرَةِ آنْتَ سَمِعْتَ هَذَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ الرَّجُلُ وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ أَنِّي سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ سَمِعَتْهُ أُذُنَاىَ وَوَعَاهُ قَلْبِي

He who said prayer before the rising of the sun and its setting would not enter the fire (of Hell), and there was a man from Basra (sitting) beside him who said: Did you hear it from the Messenger of Allah (way peace be upon him)? He said: Yes, I bear witness to it. The man from Basra said: I bear witness that I did hear from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying it from the place that you heard from him.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ يَلِجُ النَّارَ مَنْ صَلَّى قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ غُرُوبِهَا وَعِنْدَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَصْرَةِ فَقَالَ آنْتَ سَمِعْتَ هَذَا مِنَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ نَعَمْ أَشْهَدُ بِهِ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ لَقَدْ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُهُ بِالْمَكَانِ الَّذِي سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْهُ

"I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'No one will enter the Fire who prays before the sun rises and before it sets.'"

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لاَ يَلِجُ النَّارَ أَحَدٌ صَلَّى قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ أَنْ تَغْرُبَ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , say, "No one who prays before sunrise and before sunset will enter the Hellfire." Sufyan narrated that he once heard the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , say this. It was asked to Sufyan, "Who did you hear this from?" He said, "I heard it from Umara ibn Ruwaihah."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ مَرَّةً سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَنْ يَلِجَ النَّارَ أَحَدٌ صَلَّى قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ غُرُوبِهَا قِيلَ لِسُفْيَانَ مِمَّنْ سَمِعَهُ؟ قَالَ مِنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ رُوَيْبَةَ

[AI] Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: "Whoever prays before sunrise and before sunset will not enter the Hellfire, and there was a man with him (the Prophet) who said, 'I have been exempted by the people of Basra.' The Prophet asked him, 'Have you heard this from the Messenger of Allah?' The man replied, 'Yes, I bear witness to it.' Prophet Muhammad ﷺ then said, 'And I bear witness that I heard the Prophet say this in the place from which you heard it.' Afan was present in that place."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَا يَلِجُ النَّارَ مَنْ صَلَّى قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ غُرُوبِهَا وَعِنْدَهُ رَجُلٌ قَالَ عَفَّانُ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَصْرَةِ فَقَالَ أَنْتَ سَمِعْتَ هَذَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ؟ فَقَالَ نَعَمْ أَشْهَدُ بِهِ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ لَقَدْ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُهُ فِي الْمَكَانِ الَّذِي سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْهُ قَالَ عَفَّانُ فِيهِ

A man from Basrah said: Tell me what you heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: No one will enter Hell who has prayed before the rising of the sun and before its setting (meaning the dawn and the afternoon prayers). He said three times: Have you heard it from him? He replied: Yes, each time saying: My ears heard it and my heart memorised it. The man then said: And I heard him (the Prophet) say that. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 427)

سَمِعْتَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَا يَلِجُ النَّارَ أَحَدٌ صَلَّى قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ أَنْ تَغْرُبَ قَالَ آنْتَ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْهُ؟ قَالَ سَمِعَتْ أُذُنَايَ وَوَعَاهُ قَلْبِي فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ وَاللهِ لَقَدْ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ ذَلِكَ

[AI] I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "No man who prays before the rising of the sun and before its setting will enter the Fire." A man from the people of Basra said, "Did you hear this from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?" He replied, "Yes, I bear witness to his words with my ears and my heart comprehended them."

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَنْ يَلِجَ النَّارَ رَجُلٌ صَلَّى قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ غُرُوبِهَا فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَصْرَةِ آنْتَ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ أَشْهَدُ لَسَمِعَتْهُ أُذُنَايَ وَوَعَاهُ قَلْبِي

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi from Abdullah ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "You should not intend to pray either at sunrise or sunset."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لاَ يَتَحَرَّ أَحَدُكُمْ فَيُصَلِّيَ عِنْدَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَلاَ عِنْدَ غُرُوبِهَا

"No one of you should deliberately try to pray when the sun is rising, or when it is setting." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 563)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا يَتَحَرَّى أَحَدُكُمْ فَيُصَلِّي عِنْدَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَلَا عِنْدَ غُرُوبِهَا»

"I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'He will never enter the Fire, the one who prays before the sun rises and before it sets.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 471)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا يَلِجُ النَّارَ أَحَدٌ صَلَّى قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ غُرُوبِهَا»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Whoever prays before the rising of the sun and before its setting will not enter the fire (of Hell)." A man from the people asked, "Did you hear this hadith from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ?" He replied, "Yes."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَنْ يَلِجَ النَّارَ مَنْ صَلَّى قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ غُرُوبِهَا» فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ أَنْتَ سَمِعْتَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ

"I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'He will never enter the Fire, the one who prays before the sun rises and before it sets.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 471)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَنْ يَلِجَ النَّارَ مَنْ صَلَّى قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ غُرُوبِهَا»

"I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'No one will enter the Fire who prays before the sun rises and before it sets.'" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 487)

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا يَلِجُ النَّارَ أَحَدٌ صَلَّى قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسَ وَقَبْلَ أَنْ تَغْرُبَ»

“Whoever dies knowing that there is no god but Allah will enter Paradise.” (Using translation from Aḥmad 464)

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ مَاتَ وَهُوَ يَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ»

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Whoever prays before the sunrise and before its setting will not enter Hell." So a man said to him, "Did you hear this from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ?" He replied, "Yes, I heard it with my own ears, and my heart believed it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنْ صَلَّى قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ غُرُوبِهَا لَمْ يَلِجِ النَّارَ» فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ أَنْتَ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ سَمِعَتْهُ أُذُنَايَ وَوَعَاهُ قَلْبِي مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ

" لَنْ يَلِجَ النَّارَ مَنْ مَاتَ لَا يُشْرِكُ باللهِ شَيئًا، يُبَادرُ بصَلاته قَبْلَ طُلُوع الشَّمْسِ وقَبْلَ غُرُوبِهَا".

"مَن شَهِدَ أَنْ لَا إِلهَ إلا اللهُ مُخْلِصًا مِنْ قَلبِهِ، دَخَلَ الجَنَّةَ".

"مَنْ شَهدَ أَنْ لَا إِلهَ إِلَّا اللهُ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ".

"مَنْ صَلَّى قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ، وَقَبْلَ غرُوبِهَا، وَشَهِدَ أَنْ لا إِلهَ إِلا اللهُ دَخَلَ الجَنَّةَ".

"لَا يَلِجُ النَّارَ أحَدٌ صلَّى قبلَ طُلُوع الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ غُرُوبِهَا".
