عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي الرَّجُلِ تَكُونُ لَهُ الْمَرْأَةُ يُطَلِّقُهَا ثُمَّ يَتَزَوَّجُهَا رَجُلٌ آخَرُ فَيُطَلِّقُهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ بِهَا فَتَرْجِعَ إِلَى زَوْجِهَا الأَوَّلِ قَالَ لاَ حَتَّى تَذُوقَ الْعُسَيْلَةَ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ سُئِلَ عَنِ الْمَرْأَةِ يَتَزَوَّجُهَا الرَّجُلُ فَيُطَلِّقُهَا فَتَتَزَوَّجُ رَجُلاً فَيُطَلِّقُهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ بِهَا أَتَحِلُّ لِزَوْجِهَا الأَوَّلِ قَالَ لاَ حَتَّى يَذُوقَ عُسَيْلَتَهَا
A person divorced his wife by three pronouncements; then another person married her and he also divorced her without having sexual intercourse with her. Then the first husband of her intended to remarry her. It was about such a case that Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked, whereupon he said: No, until the second one has tasted her sweetness as the first one had tasted.
طَلَّقَ رَجُلٌ امْرَأَتَهُ ثَلاَثًا فَتَزَوَّجَهَا رَجُلٌ ثُمَّ طَلَّقَهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ بِهَا فَأَرَادَ زَوْجُهَا الأَوَّلُ أَنْ يَتَزَوَّجَهَا فَسُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ لاَ حَتَّى يَذُوقَ الآخِرُ مِنْ عُسَيْلَتِهَا مَا ذَاقَ الأَوَّلُ
from the Prophet, concerning a man who had a wife then divorced her, then another man married her but divorced her before consummating the marriage. Could she go back to the first man? He said: “No, not until he tastes her sweetness.”
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي الرَّجُلِ تَكُونُ لَهُ الْمَرْأَةُ فَيُطَلِّقُهَا فَيَتَزَوَّجُهَا رَجُلٌ فَيُطَلِّقُهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ بِهَا أَتَرْجِعُ إِلَى الأَوَّلِ قَالَ لاَ حَتَّى يَذُوقَ الْعُسَيْلَةَ
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about a man who had a woman under his authority and divorced her three times. She then married another man, but he divorced her before consummating the marriage. Is it permissible for her to go back to her first husband? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "No, until the second husband has tasted her and she has tasted him."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ سُئِلَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ كَانَتْ تَحْتَهُ امْرَأَةٌ فَطَلَّقَهَا ثَلَاثًا فَتَزَوَّجَتْ بَعْدَهُ رَجُلًا فَطَلَّقَهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ بِهَا أَتَحِلُّ لِزَوْجِهَا الْأَوَّلِ؟ قَالَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا حَتَّى يَكُونَ الْآخَرُ قَدْ ذَاقَ مِنْ عُسَيْلَتِهَا وَذَاقَتْ مِنْ عُسَيْلَتِهِ
from the Prophet, concerning a man who had a wife then divorced her, then another man married her but divorced her before consummating the marriage. Could she go back to the first man? He said: “No, not until he tastes her sweetness.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1933)
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي الرَّجُلِ تَكُونُ لَهُ الْمَرْأَةُ ثُمَّ يُطَلِّقُهَا ثُمَّ يَتَزَوَّجُهَا رَجُلٌ فَيُطَلِّقُهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ بِهَا فَتَرْجِعُ إِلَى زَوْجِهَا الْأَوَّلِ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حَتَّى تَذُوقَ الْعُسَيْلَةَ
"The Prophet was asked about a man who divorced his wife three times, then another man married her and he closed the door and drew the curtain, then divorced her before consummating the marriage with her. He said: "She is not permissible for the first one (to remarry her) until the second one has had intercourse with her."" (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3415)
سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ يُطَلِّقُ امْرَأَتَهُ ثَلَاثًا فَيَتَزَوَّجُهَا آخَرُ فَيُغْلَقُ الْبَابُ وَيُرْخَى السِّتْرُ ثُمَّ يُطَلِّقُهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ بِهَا هَلْ تَحِلُّ لِلْأَوَّلِ؟ قَالَ لَا حَتَّى يَذُوقَ الْعُسَيْلَةَ
[Machine] "The Prophet ﷺ was asked about a man who divorced his wife three times, and then another man married her, locked the door, drew the curtain, and removed her veil, and then divorced her before having intercourse with her. Does she become lawful for her first husband?" He said, "No, until he tastes her honey."
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ سُئِلَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ ثَلَاثًا ثُمَّ تَزَوَّجَهَا رَجُلٌ فَأَغْلَقَ الْبَابَ وَأَرْخَى السِّتْرَ وَنَزَعَ الْخِمَارَ ثُمَّ طَلَّقَهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ بِهَا تَحِلُّ لِزَوْجِهَا الْأَوَّلِ؟ فَقَالَ لَا حَتَّى يَذُوقَ عُسَيْلَتَهَا
[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about a man who divorced his wife three times and then she married another man and he divorced her before having intercourse with her. Should she go back to her first husband? He said, "No, until she tastes the honey (intercourse) of her second husband just as her first husband had tasted."
سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنْ رَجُلٍ طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ الْبَتَّةَ فَتَزَوَّجَتْ زَوْجًا فَطَلَّقَهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ بِهَا أَتَرْجِعُ إِلَى زَوْجِهَا الْأَوَّلِ قَالَ «لَا حَتَّى يَذُوقَ عُسَيْلَتَهَا مَا ذَاقَ صَاحِبُهَا»
[Machine] From the Prophet ﷺ regarding a man who divorced his wife three times, and then married another woman. He divorced her before having relations with her, and then the first man wanted to marry her again. He said, "No, until the second man tastes his wife and she tastes him."
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي رَجُلٍ طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ ثَلَاثًا ثُمَّ تَزَوَّجَتْ زَوْجًا غَيْرَهُ فَطَلَّقَهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ بِهَا ثُمَّ أَرَادَ الْأَوَّلُ أَنْ يَتَزَوَّجَهَا قَالَ «لَا حَتَّى يَذُوقَ الْآخَرُ عُسَيْلَتَهَا وَتَذُوقَ عُسَيْلَتَهُ»
"No, not until she tastes his sweetness." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 3414)
