[Machine] He married the daughter of Abi Ihab, and a woman from the people of Mecca came to claim that she had breastfed both of them. The people of the girl denied it when asked. So, I rode to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who was in Medina, and I mentioned this to him. I said, "O Messenger of Allah, I asked the people of the girl, and they denied it." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "How is it possible when it has been mentioned? How is it possible when it has been mentioned?" So, he separated from her, and she married someone else.

أَنَّهُ تَزَوَّجَ ابْنَةَ أَبِي إِهَابٍ فَجَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ مَكَّةَ صَبِيحَةَ مَلَكَهَا فَقَالَتْ قَدْ أَرْضَعْتُكُمَا فَسَأَلَتْ أَهْلَ الْجَارِيَةِ فَأَنْكَرُوا ذَلِكَ فَرَكِبْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لَهُ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَدْ سَأَلْتُ أَهْلَ الْجَارِيَةِ فَأَنْكَرُوا ذَلِكَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «كَيْفَ وَقَدْ قِيلَ؟ كَيْفَ وَقَدْ قِيلَ؟» فَفَارَقَهَا وَنَكَحَتْ غَيْرَهُ

So I rode to the Prophet ﷺ while he was in Madinah, and I told him about it. I said, "I asked the people of the girl, and they denied it." He said, "How could they deny it when it has been said?" So I divorced her and married someone else.

"عَنْ عُقْبَة بن الْحَارِث تَزَوَّجَتُ ابْنَةَ أَبِى إهَاب التَّميمى، فَلَمَّا كَانَ صَبِيحَة ملكها جَاءَت مَوْلاة لأَهْلِ مكَّة فَقَالَتْ: إِنِّى أَرْضَعْتكُمَا فركِبْتُ إِلَى النَّبِىِّ ﷺ بالمدينَة فَذَكَرت لَهُ ذَلِكَ وَقُلْتُ: سَأَلْتُ أَهْلَ الْجَارِيَة فَأنكَرُوا، فَقَالَ: وَكيْفَ وَقْد قِيلَ؟ فَنَهَاهُ عَنْهَا فَفَارَقَهَا وَنَكَحَتْ غَيْرهُ".
