[Machine] "Al-Harith said, 'That is how the Messenger of Allah ﷺ questioned me.'" Umar said, "Woe to you! You asked me about what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked me so that I could contradict him."  

الكبرى للنسائي:٤١٧١ – أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ الْحَارِثُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ أَتَيْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ فَسَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ امْرَأَةٍ تَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ ثُمَّ تَحِيضُ؟ قَالَ «يَكُونَ آخِرَ عَهْدِهَا بِالْبَيْتِ» فَقَالَ

الْحَارِثُ «كَذَلِكَ أَفْتَانِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ» قَالَ عُمَرُ أُفٍّ لِكَ سَأَلْتَنِي عَمَّا سَأَلْتُ عَنْهُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لِكَيْمَا أُخَالِفُهُ

[Machine] Al-Harith told me this, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked me. Umar said, "have you influenced my decision? You asked me about something that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked me about, but I do not contradict him."  

أحمد:١٥٤٤٠ – حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ وَعَفَّانُ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ الثَّقَفِيِّ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ عَنِ الْمَرْأَةِ تَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ ثُمَّ تَحِيضُ قَالَ لِيَكُنْ آخِرَعَهْدِهَا الطَّوَافُ بِالْبَيْتِ فَقَالَ

الْحَارِثُ كَذَلِكَ أَفْتَانِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ أَرَبْتَ عَنْ يَدَيْكَ سَأَلْتَنِي عَنْ شَيْءٍ سَأَلْتُ عَنْهُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لَكِنِّي مَا أُخَالِفُ

[Machine] Al-Harith, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, asked me in the same way. Umar said, "Did you twist my arm when you asked me about something that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had already asked me about, so that I would contradict him?"
