[Machine] A group of Ansar said to Ali, "Do you have Fatimah with you?" He entered upon the Prophet ﷺ and greeted him. The Prophet ﷺ asked him, "What does the son of Abu Talib need?" Ali said, "I mentioned that Fatimah, the daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , was mentioned, and he (the Prophet) said, 'Welcome and greetings to her.' He did not say anything more than that." Then Ali went out to a group of Ansar who were waiting for him and they asked him, "What is behind you?" He replied, "I do not know, except that he said to me, 'Welcome and greetings to her.'" They said to him, "It is sufficient for you that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has given you a family and a spacious home." After that, when he got married, he said to Ali, "O Ali, a wedding must have a feast." Sa'd said, "I have a sheep and I have gathered a group of Ansar, enough food for a small feast." When the night of the wedding came, the Prophet ﷺ said to Ali, "O Ali, do not say anything until you meet me." So the Prophet ﷺ called for water and performed ablution from it, then he poured it on Ali and said, "O Allah, bless them both and bless upon them and bless them in their progeny."

أَنَّ نَفَرًا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ قَالُوا لِعَلِيٍّ عِنْدَكَ فَاطِمَةُ فَدَخَلَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ «مَا حَاجَةُ ابْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ؟» قَالَ ذُكِرَتْ فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَرْحَبًا وَأَهْلًا» لَمْ يَزِدْهُ عَلَيْهَا فَخَرَجَ إِلَى الرَّهْطِ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ يَنْتَظِرُونَهُ فَقَالُوا مَا وَرَاءَكَ؟ قَالَ مَا أَدْرِي غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِي «مَرْحَبًا وَأَهْلًا» قَالُوا يَكْفِيكَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ إِحْدَاهُمَا قَدْ أَعْطَاكَ الْأَهْلَ وَأَعْطَاكَ الرَّحْبَ فَلَمَّا كَانَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ بَعْدَمَا زَوَّجَهُ قَالَ «يَا عَلِيُّ إِنَّهُ لَا بُدَّ لِلْعُرْسِ مِنْ وَلِيمَةٍ» قَالَ سَعْدٌ عِنْدِي كَبْشٌ وَجَمْعَ لَهُ رَهْطٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ آصُعًا مِنْ ذُرَةٍ فَلَمَّا كَانَ لَيْلَةُ الْبِنَاءِ قَالَ «يَا عَلِيُّ لَا تُحْدِثْ شَيْئًا حَتَّى تَلْقَانِي» فَدَعَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِمَاءٍ فَتَوَضَّأَ مِنْهُ ثُمَّ أَفْرَغَهُ عَلَى عَلِيٍّ فَقَالَ «اللهُمَّ بَارِكْ فِيهِمَا وَبَارِكْ عَلَيْهِمَا وَبَارِكْ لَهُمَا فِي شِبْلِهِمَا»

He answered, "I don't know, except that the Prophet ﷺ said to me, 'Welcome and greetings.'" They said, "It is enough for you that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has granted you greetings and welcome." After that, when he had married Fatimah, Ali said, "O Ali, a wedding feast is necessary for the newlyweds." Saad said to him, "I have a sheep with me." And he gathered a group of Ansar who were more than a handful. On the night of the wedding celebration, Ali said, "Don't do anything until you meet me." The Prophet ﷺ then called for water to perform ablution and poured it on Ali, saying, "O Allah, bless them both and bless their union."

"عَنْ بُرَيْدَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ نَفَرٌ مِن الأَنْصَارِ لِعَلِىٍّ: عِنْدَكَ فَاطِمَةُ، فَأَتَى رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ ، فَقَالَ: مَا حَاجَةُ ابنِ أَبِى طَالبِ؟ قَال: يَا رَسُولَ الله! ذَكَرْتُ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ: مَرحبًا وَأَهْلًا لَمْ يَزِدْ عَلَيْهَا، فَخَرَجَ عَلَى أُوَلئك الرَّهْطِ مِن الأَنْصَارِ يَنْتَظِرُونَهُ، قَالُوا: وَمَا ذَاكَ؟ قَالَ: مَا أَدْرِى غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: مَرْحبا وَأَهْلًا، قَالُوا (*): يَكْفِيكَ مِنْ رَسُولِ الله ﷺ إحْدَاهُمَا أَعْطَاكَ الله الأَهْلَ والرُّحْبَ (* *)، فَلَمَّا كَانَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ بَعْدَمَا زَوَّجَهُ قَالَ: يَا عَلِيَّ! إِنَّهُ لاَبُدَّ لِلْعَرُوسِ مِنْ وَلِيمَة، قَالَ سَعْدٌ: عِنْدِيِ كَبْشٌ، وَجَمَع لَهُ رَهْطٌ مِن الأَنْصَارِ أَصْوُعًا مِنْ ذُرَةٍ، فَلَمَّا كَانَ لَيْلَةُ الْبنَاءِ قَالَ: لاَ تُحْدِثْ شَيْئًا حَتَّى تَلْقَانِى، فَدَعَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِمَاء فَتَوَضَّأ مِنْهُ، ثُمَّ أَفْرَغَة عَلَى عَلِىٍّ فَقَالَ: اللِّهُمَّ بَارِكْ فِيهِمَا، وَبَارِكْ عَلَيْهِمَا، وَبَارِكْ لَهُمَا فِى بِنَائِهمَا، وَبَارِكْ لَهُمَا فِى نَسْلِهِمَا".
