4. Zakāh (Charity)
"The Messenger of Allah was asked about Al-Luqath.[2] He said: "That which is found on a much-traveled road or in an inhabited village, announce it for a year. If its owner comes (and takes it, well and good), otherwise it is yours. That which was not found on a much-traveled road or in an inhabited village is subject to the Khuns, as is Rikaz."'[1] (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2494)
[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "The idolaters are evil, the well is evil, the mine is evil, and there is a fifth in the treasure." [35] 2287 Yunus bin 'Abdul 'A'la informed us, saying: Ibn Wahb informed us, saying: Yunus informed me from Ibn Shihab, from Sa'id and 'Ubaydullah bin 'Abdullah, from Abu Huraira, from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with a similar narration.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: No retaliation is payable for a wound caused by a dumb animal, for a mine, and for a well. On the treasure found buried in the land there is a fifth. Abu Dawud said: A dumb animal means an animal which is free and has not tether, and there is no one (as a watchman) with it. It causes harm by day and not by night. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4593)
Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no compensation for one killed or wounded by an animal or by falling in a well, or because of working in mines; but Khumus is compulsory on Rikaz." (Using translation from Bukhārī 1499)
