4. Zakāh (Charity)
٤۔ كِتَابُ الزَّكَاةِ
[Machine] A woman from the people of Yemen came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with her daughter who had two solid gold bracelets in her hand. He said, "Do you pay the zakat (obligatory charity) for these?" She said, "No." He said, "Would it please you if Allah adorns you with them as bracelets of fire on the Day of Resurrection?" She then took them off and threw them to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , saying, "They are for Allah and His Messenger." It was narrated that Muhammad ibn Abd al-A'la said: Mu'tamir informed us, saying: I heard Husayn ibn Zakwan al-Mu'alim al-Basri, who is trustworthy, saying: Amr ibn Shu'ayb said: A woman came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with her daughter, and in her daughter's hand were two similar gold bracelets. Abu Abdur-Rahman Khalid ibn al-Harith, who is more reliable to us than Mu'tamir, said: The narration of Mu'tamir is more correct, and Allah knows best.
