Good is tied to the forelock of the horses. It Was said to him: Messenger of Allah, why is it so? He (the Prophet said): For reward and booty until the Day of Judgment.  

مسلم:١٨٧٣b – وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ فُضَيْلٍ وَابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ الْبَارِقِيِّ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الْخَيْرُ مَعْقُوصٌ بِنَوَاصِي الْخَيْلِ قَالَ فَقِيلَ لَهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ بِمَ ذَاكَ قَالَ الأَجْرُ وَالْمَغْنَمُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ

The Prophet ﷺ said, "Horses are always the source of good, namely, rewards (in the Hereafter) and booty, till the Day of Resurrection."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ الْخَيْلُ مَعْقُودٌ فِي نَوَاصِيهَا الْخَيْرُ الأَجْرُ وَالْمَغْنَمُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ  

tirmidhi:1694 – Hannād > ʿAbthar b. al-Qāsim > Ḥuṣayn > al-Shaʿbī > ʿUrwah al-Bāriqī

That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Goodness will remain in the forelocks of horses until the Day of Judgement: (They bring about) Rewards and spoils of war."  

[Abu 'Eisa said:] There are narrations on this topic from Ibn 'Umar, Abu Sa'eed, Jarir, Abu Hurairah, Asma' bin Yazid, Al-Mughira bin Shu'bah, and Jabir. [Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih. 'Urwah is Ibn Al-Ja'd Al-Bariqi, and they say he is 'Urwah bin Al-Ja'd. Ahmad bin Hanbal said: "The Fiqh of this Hadith is that Jihad is with every Imam until the Day of Judgement."
الترمذي:١٦٩٤ – حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْثَرُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ الْبَارِقِيِّ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الْخَيْرُ مَعْقُودٌ فِي نَوَاصِي الْخَيْلِ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ الأَجْرُ وَالْمَغْنَمُ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Horses are tied to their forelocks until the Day of Resurrection." It was asked, "O Messenger of Allah, and what is that?" He said, "Reward and spoils of war."  

الطبراني:١٤٥٢٨ – حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ وَعَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ عَنْ حُصَيْنٍٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «الْخَيْلُ مَعْقُودٌ فِي نَوَاصِيهَا الْخَيْرُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ» قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَمَا ذَاك؟ قَالَ «الْأَجْرُ وَالْمَغْنَمُ»
