The Prophet ﷺ prayed on a sheet of cloth put on by one of his wives who was menstruating. He was praying while (a part of) it was upon him.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ صَلَّى وَعَلَيْهِ مِرْطٌ وَعَلَى بَعْضِ أَزْوَاجِهِ مِنْهُ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray while wearing a shawl, and some of it would be on me.

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي وَعَلَيْهِ مِرْطٌ وَعَلَيَّ بَعْضُهُ

[AI] "The Prophet ﷺ used to pray while wearing a cloak from these cloaks, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray wearing some of it, and sometimes all of it, and the cloak was from black wool."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي وَعَلَيْهِ مِرْطٌ مِنْ هَذِهِ الْمُرَحَّلَاتِ وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي وَعَلَيْهِ بَعْضُهُ وَعَلَيَّبَعْضُهُ وَالْمِرْطُ مِنْ أَكْسِيَةٍ سُودٍ

The Prophet ﷺ prayed on a sheet of cloth put on by one of his wives who was menstruating. He was praying while (a part of) it was upon him. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 369)

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ صَلَّى وَعَلَيْهِ مِرْطٌ بَعْضُهُ عَلَيْهَا وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray with a patch from these patches. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray with some of it and some of it on me. The patch was made of black cloth.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي وَعَلَيْهِ مِرْطٌ مِنْ هَذِهِ الْمُرَحَّلَاتِ وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي وَعَلَيْهِ بَعْضُهُ وَعَلَيَّ بَعْضُهُ وَالْمِرْطُ مِنْ أَكْسِيَةٍ سُودٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَّى وَعَلَيْهِ مِرْطٌ مِنْ صُوفٍ عَلَيْهِ بَعْضُهُ وَعَلَيْهَا بَعْضُهُ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَّى وَعَلَيْهِ مِرْطٌ مِنْ صُوفٍ عَلَيْهِ بَعْضُهُ وَعَلَيْهَا بَعْضُهُ

[AI] That the Prophet ﷺ prayed while wearing a cloth (a wrapper) over some of his wives, and some of it was on them. Sufyan said, "I think he said that (they were) menstruating."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ صَلَّى وَعَلَيْهِ مِرْطٌ لِبَعْضِ نِسَائِهِوَعَلَيْهَا بَعْضُهُ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ أُرَاهُ قَالَ حَائِضٍ

[AI] "That the Prophet ﷺ had affection for some of his wives, and they had affection for him."

«أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ صَلَّى وَعَلَيْهِ مِرْطٌ لِبَعْضِ نِسَائِهِ وَعَلَيْهَا بَعْضُهُ»

[AI] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to pray while he had a cloth made of wool placed on him, some of it on one part and some on another part, and some of his wives also had it on them while they were menstruating. Al-Humaydi said in his narration, "Some of it on me, and some on him, and I was menstruating."

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي وَعَلَيْهِ مِرْطٌ مِنْ صُوفٍ عَلَيْهِ بَعْضُهُ وَعَلَى بَعْضِ نِسَائِهِ بَعْضُهُ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ» قَالَ الْحُمَيْدِيُّ فِي حَدِيثِهِ «عَلَيَّ بَعْضُهُ وَعَلَيْهِ بَعْضُهُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ»

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ prayed while wearing a worn-out garment, and it had some bloodstains on it.

«أَنَّ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ صَلَّى فِي خَمِيصَةٍ عَلَيْهَا بَعْضُهَا وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ»
