The Messenger of Allah said: "The eye is the leather strap (that ties up) the anus, so whoever falls asleep, let him perform ablution."
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ الْعَيْنُ وِكَاءُ السَّهِ فَمَنْ نَامَ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: The eyes are the leather strap of the anus, so one who sleeps should perform ablution.
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ وِكَاءُ السَّهِ الْعَيْنَانِ فَمَنْ نَامَ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ
ʿThe anus, for the eye [in another version of this report, it says, ʿThe eye, for the anus…’ which sounds more apt], is like the string that ties up a waterskin; whoever goes to sleep, let him do wudoo’.”
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّ السَّهَ وِكَاءُ الْعَيْنِ فَمَنْ نَامَ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ
[Machine] "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: 'The eye is the hook of the shooting star, so when the eye sleeps, the hook is released, so whoever sleeps, let him perform ablution.'"
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِنَّمَا الْعَيْنُ وِكَاءُ السَّهِ فَإِذَا نَامَتِ الْعَيْنُ انْطَلَقَ الْوِكَاءُ فَمَنْ نَامَ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ»

"وكَاءُ السَّهِ الْعَينَانِ، فَمْنَ نَامَ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأ".
"العَينُ وكَاءُ السَّه، فمن نام فَلْيَتَوضَّأ ".
"إِنَّمَا العينانِ وكاءُ السهِ، فإِذا نامت العَيْنُ استطلَقَ الوكاءُ فمن نامَ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأ ".
"إِنما العينُ وِكَاءُ السَّه فإذا نامت العينُ انطلَق الوكاءُ فمن نام فليتوضَّأ".
