6.13 What was narrated concerning looking at the deceased when he has been wrapped in his shroud

٦۔١٣ باب مَا جَاءَ فِي النَّظَرِ إِلَى الْمَيِّتِ إِذَا أُدْرِجَ فِي أَكْفَانِهِ

ibnmajah:1475Muḥammad b. Ismāʿīl b. Samurah > Muḥammad b. al-Ḥasan > Abū Shaybah > Anas b. Mālik

“When Ibrahim the son of the Prophet ﷺ died, the Prophet ﷺ said to them: ‘Do not wrap him in his shroud until I look at him.’ He came to him, bent over and wept.”  

ابن ماجة:١٤٧٥حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو شَيْبَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

لَمَّا قُبِضَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ ابْنُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَهُمُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لاَ تُدْرِجُوهُ فِي أَكْفَانِهِ حَتَّى أَنْظُرَ إِلَيْهِ فَأَتَاهُ فَانْكَبَّ عَلَيْهِ وَبَكَى
