Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The main source of disbelief is in the east. Pride and arrogance are characteristics of the owners of horses and camels, and those bedouins who are busy with their camels and pay no attention to Religion; while modesty and gentleness are the characteristics of the owners of sheep."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ رَأْسُ الْكُفْرِ نَحْوَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْفَخْرُ وَالْخُيَلاَءُ فِي أَهْلِ الْخَيْلِ وَالإِبِلِ وَالْفَدَّادِينَ أَهْلِ الْوَبَرِ وَالسَّكِينَةُ فِي أَهْلِ الْغَنَمِ

The Prophet ﷺ said, "The people of Yemen have come to you and they are more gentle and soft-hearted. Belief is Yemenite and Wisdom is Yemenite, while pride and haughtiness are the qualities of the owners of camels (i.e. bedouins). Calmness and solemnity are the characters of the owners of sheep."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ أَتَاكُمْ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ هُمْ أَرَقُّ أَفْئِدَةً وَأَلْيَنُ قُلُوبًا الإِيمَانُ يَمَانٍ وَالْحِكْمَةُ يَمَانِيَةٌ وَالْفَخْرُ وَالْخُيَلاَءُ فِي أَصْحَابِ الإِبِلِ وَالسَّكِينَةُ وَالْوَقَارُ فِي أَهْلِ الْغَنَمِ وَقَالَ غُنْدَرٌ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ سَمِعْتُ ذَكْوَانَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ

from the Prophet ﷺ, who said: "The people of Yemen have come to you; they are more tender in their hearts and softer in their inner hearts. Understanding is Yemeni, and wisdom is Yemeni."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ: «أَتَاكُمْ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ؛ أَضْعَفُ قُلُوبًا وَأَرَقُّ أَفْئِدَةً، الْفِقْهُ يَمَانٍ وَالْحِكْمَةُ يَمَانِيَةٌ».

There have come the people of Yemen; they are tender of hearts, the belief is that of the Yemenites, the understanding (of the faith) is that of the Yemenites and sagacity is that of the Yemenites.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ جَاءَ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ هُمْ أَرَقُّ أَفْئِدَةً الإِيمَانُ يَمَانٍ وَالْفِقْهُ يَمَانٍ وَالْحِكْمَةُ يَمَانِيَةٌ

The Messenger of Allah (may peace and blessings be upon him) observed: There came to you the people from Yemen; they are tender of hearts and mild of feelings, the understanding is Yemenite, the sagacity is Yemenite.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَتَاكُمْ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ هُمْ أَضْعَفُ قُلُوبًا وَأَرَقُّ أَفْئِدَةً الْفِقْهُ يَمَانٍ وَالْحِكْمَةُ يَمَانِيَةٌ

The belief is among the Yemenites, and the unbelief is towards the East, and tranquillity is among those who rear goats and sheep, and pride and simulation is among the uncivil and rude owners of horses and camels.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ الإِيمَانُ يَمَانٍ وَالْكُفْرُ قِبَلَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالسَّكِينَةُ فِي أَهْلِ الْغَنَمِ وَالْفَخْرُ وَالرِّيَاءُ فِي الْفَدَّادِينَ أَهْلِ الْخَيْلِ وَالْوَبَرِ

I heard the Prophet (may peace and blessings be upon him) saying: There came the people of Yemen, they are tender of feelings and meek of hearts. The belief is that of the Yemenites, the sagacity is that of the Yemenites, the tranquillity is among the owners of goats and sheep, and pride and conceitedness is among the uncivil owners of the camels, the people of the tents in the direction of sunrise.

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ جَاءَ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ هُمْ أَرَقُّ أَفْئِدَةً وَأَضْعَفُ قُلُوبًا الإِيمَانُ يَمَانٍ وَالْحِكْمَةُ يَمَانِيَةٌ السَّكِينَةُ فِي أَهْلِ الْغَنَمِ وَالْفَخْرُ وَالْخُيَلاَءُ فِي الْفَدَّادِينَ أَهْلِ الْوَبَرِ قِبَلَ مَطْلِعِ الشَّمْسِ

There came the people of Yemen who are soft of hearts, tender in feelings: the belief is that of the Yemenites, the sagacity is that of the Yemenites and the summit of unbelief is towards the East.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَتَاكُمْ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ هُمْ أَلْيَنُ قُلُوبًا وَأَرَقُّ أَفْئِدَةً الإِيمَانُ يَمَانٍ وَالْحِكْمَةُ يَمَانِيَةٌ رَأْسُ الْكُفْرِ قِبَلَ الْمَشْرِقِ

that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The people of Yemen have come to you. They are weaker in heart and softer in understanding, faith is Yemeni and wisdom is Yemeni."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَتَاكُمْ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ هُمْ أَضْعَفُ قُلُوبًا وَأَرَقُّ أَفْئِدَةً الإِيمَانُ يَمَانٍ وَالْحِكْمَةُ يَمَانِيَةٌ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَأَبِي مَسْعُودٍ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The people of Yemen have come to you; they have the softest hearts in faith, Yemeni wisdom, and Yemeni understanding."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَتَاكُمْ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ هُمْ أَرَقُّ أَفْئِدَةً الْإِيمَانُ يَمَانٍ وَالْحِكْمَةُ يَمَانِيَةٌ وَالْفِقْهُ يَمَانٍ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The people of Yemen are the most tender-hearted and kind-hearted, and their faith is the most delicate. The knowledge and wisdom are Yemeni." Abu Mu'awiya said, "He means that disbelief begins from the east."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَتَاكُمْ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ هُمْ أَلْيَنُ قُلُوبًا وَأَرَقُّ أَفْئِدَةً الْإِيمَانُ يَمَانٍ وَالْحِكْمَةُ يَمَانِيَةٌ قَالَ أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ يَعْنِي فِي حَدِيثِهِ رَأْسُ الْكُفْرِ قِبَلَ الْمَشْرِقِ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ said, "The people of Yemen have come to you; they have the softest hearts in faith, and wisdom is from Yemen, and understanding is from Yemen."

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَتَاكُمْ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ هُمْ أَرَقُّ قُلُوبًا الْإِيمَانُ يَمَانٍ وَالْحِكْمَةُ يَمَانِيَةٌ وَالْفِقْهُ يَمَانٍ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Pride and arrogance are found among blacksmiths from the righteous people, tranquility is found among shepherds, and faith is found among Yemenis, and wisdom is Yemeni."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْفَخْرُ وَالْخُيَلَاءُ فِي الْفَدَّادِينَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْوَبَرِ وَالسَّكِينَةُ فِي أَهْلِ الْغَنَمِ وَالْإِيمَانُ يَمَانٍ وَالْحِكْمَةُ يَمَانِيَةٌ

[AI] I heard Abu Hurairah saying when the verse "When the victory of Allah has come and the conquest" was revealed, the Prophet ﷺ said, "The people of Yemen have come to you. They have the softest hearts towards faith. Yemeni by faith, Yemeni by understanding, Yemeni by wisdom."

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ إِذَا جَاءَ نَصْرُ اللهِ وَالْفَتْحُ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَتَاكُمْ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ هُمْ أَرَقُّ قُلُوبًا الْإِيمَانُ يَمَانٍ الْفِقْهُ يَمَانٍ الْحِكْمَةُ يَمَانِيَةٌ

The belief is among the Yemenites, and the unbelief is towards the East, and tranquillity is among those who rear goats and sheep, and pride and simulation is among the uncivil and rude owners of horses and camels. (Using translation from Muslim 52e)

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Faith is in Yemen, and knowledge is in Yemen, and wisdom is in Yemen. The people of Yemen have the softest hearts and the most tender hearts. Disbelief lies to the east, and pride and arrogance lie within the horsemen and camel-herders. The people of piety and righteousness are the people of livestock. And tranquility is among the people of sheep."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْإِيمَانُ يَمَانٍ وَالْفِقْهُ يَمَانٍ وَالْحِكْمَةُ يَمَانِيَةٌ أَتَاكُمْ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ فَهُمْ أَرَقُّ أَفْئِدَةً وَأَلْيَنُ قُلُوبًا وَالْكُفْرُ قِبَلَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْفَخْرُ وَالْخُيَلَاءُ فِي أَهْلِ الْخَيْلِ وَالْإِبِلِ وَالْفَدَّادِينَ أَهْلِ الْوَبَرِ وَالسَّكِينَةُ فِي أَهْلِ الْغَنَمِ

[AI] Abu Al-Qasim ﷺ said, "The people of Yemen have the softest hearts in faith, Yemeni eloquence, and Yemeni wisdom."

أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ أَتَاكُمْ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ هُمْ أَرَقُّ أَفْئِدَةً الْإِيمَانُ يَمَانٍ وَالْفِقْهُ يَمَانٍ وَالْحِكْمَةُ يَمَانِيَةٌ

[AI] The Prophet (PBUH) said: "The people of Yemen are the most noble-hearted and gentle. Knowledge is Yemeni and faith is Yemeni. Wisdom is Yemeni and gallantry is in their horses. Pride is among the owners of camels, while tranquility and dignity are among the owners of sheep."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ جَاءَ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ هُمْ أَرَقُّ أَفْئِدَةً وَأَلْيَنُ قُلُوبًا وَالْفِقْهُ يَمَانٍ وَالْإِيمَانُ يَمَانٍ وَالْحِكْمَةُيَمَانِيَةٌ الْخُيَلَاءُ وَالْكِبْرُ فِي أَصْحَابِ الْإِبِلِ وَالسَّكِينَةُ وَالْوَقَارُ فِي أَصْحَابِ الشَّاءِ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَتَاكُمْ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِهُمْ أَضْعَفُ قُلُوبًا وَأَرَقُّ أَفْئِدَةً الْإِيمَانُ يَمَانٍ وَالْحِكْمَةُ يَمَانِيَةٌ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ رَأْسُ الْكُفْرِ نَحْوَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْفَخْرُ وَالْخُيَلَاءُ فِي أَهْلِ الْخَيْلِ وَالْإِبِلِ فِي الْفَدَّادِينَ أَهْلِ الْوَبَرِ وَالسَّكِينَةُ فِي أَهْلِ الْغَنَمِ

The Prophet ﷺ said, "The people of Yemen have come to you, and they are more soft hearted and gentle hearted people. The capacity for understanding religion is Yemenite and Wisdom is Yemenite." (Using translation from Bukhārī 4390)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَتَاكُمْ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ هُمْ أَضْعَفُ قُلُوبًا وَأَرَقُّ أَفْئِدَةً الْفِقْهُ يَمَانٍ وَالْحِكْمَةُ يَمَانِيَةٌ

[AI] "The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Faith is Yemeni and understanding is Yemeni, and wisdom is Yemeni.'"

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ الْإِيمَانُ يَمَانٍ وَالْفِقْهُيَمَانٍ وَالْحِكْمَةُ يَمَانِيَةٌ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The people of Yemen will come to you, and they will have the gentlest hearts among you, and they will be the first to introduce the practice of shaking hands."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ أَتَاكُمْ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ وَهُمْ أَرَقُّ قُلُوبًا مِنْكُمْ وَهُمْ أَوَّلُ مَنْ جَاءَ بِالْمُصَافَحَةِ

Malik related to me from Abu'z-Zinad from al-Araj from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The head of kufr is towards the east. Boasting and price is among people who have horses and camels. The loud-voiced people are the people of tents (the Bedouins). Tranquillity is with the people who have sheep."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ رَأْسُ الْكُفْرِ نَحْوَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْفَخْرُ وَالْخُيَلاَءُ فِي أَهْلِ الْخَيْلِ وَالإِبِلِ وَالْفَدَّادِينَ أَهْلِ الْوَبَرِ وَالسَّكِينَةُ فِي أَهْلِ الْغَنَمِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Faith is Yemeni and wisdom is Yemeni, and the head of disbelief is towards the East."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «الْإِيمَانُ يَمَانٍ وَالْحِكْمَةُ يَمَانِيَّةٌ وَرَأْسُ الْكُفْرِ قِبَلَ الْمَشْرِقِ»

قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أتاكم أهل اليمن هم أرق أفئدة والكفر من قبل المشرق

عَنِ النَّبِي ﷺ قال أتاكم أهل اليمن أرق أفئدة الإيمان يمان والحكمة يمانية

قال قال أبو القاسم ﷺ أتاكم أهل اليمن أرق أفئدة الإيمان يمان والفقه يمان والحكمة يمانية

أَنَّ النَّبِي ﷺ قال أتاكم أهل اليمن أرق أفئدة الإيمان يمان والحكمة يمانية

The Prophet ﷺ said, "The people of Yemen have come to you and they are more gentle and soft-hearted. "أتَاكُم أهْلُ اليَمَن هُمْ أضْعَفُ قُلُوبًا وَأرَقُّ أفْئِدَة الفِقُهُ يَمان والحِكْمة يَمَانِيَّة ".

"رأسُ الْكُفْر نحْو المشْرق، والْفخْرُ والْخيلَاءُ في أَهْل الْخيْل والإِبل والْفدَّادِين أَهْل الْوبر، والسكينةُ في أَهْل الْغنم".
