[Machine] "To speak to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and ask him to command the people to give me their allegiance wherever he may be, for people seek his favor by giving him gifts on the day of Aisha. And indeed, we love goodness just as Aisha loves it." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ remained silent and did not respond to me. Then my companions came to me, and I told them that he did not speak to me. They replied, "By Allah, we will not leave him." So, I spoke to him again, saying the same words two or three times. Still, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ remained silent. Then he said, 'O Umm Salamah, do not harm me with regards to Aisha. By Allah, revelation has not come to me while I am in the house of any of my wives except Aisha.'" I said, "I seek refuge in Allah from harming you in relation to Aisha."

bukhari:3775ʿAbdullāh b. ʿAbd al-Wahhāb > Ḥammād > Hishām from his father

The people used to send presents to the Prophet ﷺ on the day of ʿAisha's turn. ʿAisha said, "My companions (i.e. the other wives of the Prophet) gathered in the house of Um Salama and said, "O Um Salama! By Allah, the people choose to send presents on the day of ʿAisha's turn and we too, love the good (i.e. presents etc.) as ʿAisha does. You should tell Messenger of Allah ﷺ to tell the people to send their presents to him wherever he may be, or wherever his turn may be." Um Salama said that to the Prophet and he turned away from her, and when the Prophet ﷺ returned to her (i.e. Um Salama), she repeated the same, and the Prophet ﷺ again turned away, and when she told him the same for the third time, the Prophet ﷺ said, "O Um Salama! Don't trouble me by harming ʿAisha, for by Allah, the Divine Inspiration never came to me while I was under the blanket of any woman amongst you except her."

[Machine] Narrated Umm Salama, the wife of the Prophet: "My companions asked me to speak to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and ask him to command the people to give him gifts wherever he may be, as they used to compete in giving gifts on the day of Aisha. And we love good in the same way Aisha loves it." So I said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , "Indeed, my companions have asked me to speak to you so that you may command the people to give you gifts wherever you may be, as they compete in giving gifts on the day of Aisha. And we love good in the same way Aisha loves it." The Prophet ﷺ remained silent and did not respond to me. Then my companions came to me and I informed them that he did not speak to me. They said, "Do not worry, and do not mention this the next time you see him." Umm Salama said, "So I stayed and spoke to him again, saying, 'Indeed, my companions have commanded me to speak to you so that you may command the people to give you gifts wherever you may be.' He said to me something similar to that two or three times. Upon this, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'O Umm Salama, do not hurt me regarding Aisha, for by Allah, revelation has not been sent down to me while I am in the house of any one of my wives besides Aisha.' So I said, 'I seek refuge in Allah that I should ever assert what I do not know.'

[Machine] To converse with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he commands the people to obey him wherever he is, for the people supplicate to him with their gifts on the day of Aisha. And indeed, we love goodness just as Aisha loves it. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ remained silent and did not respond to me. Then my companions came to me and I informed them that he ﷺ did not speak to me. They said, "By Allah, do not claim this, and why now are you making this claim?" She (Umm Salamah) said, "So I turned back and spoke to him and said, my companions have told me that I should speak to you and command the people to obey you wherever you are." So I said to him the same thing twice or three times. In response, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ remained silent regarding that matter. Then he said, "Oh Umm Salamah, do not harm me regarding Aisha, for by Allah, revelation has not descended upon me while I am in the garment of a woman from my wives other than Aisha." She said, "So I sought refuge in Allah from ever harming you regarding Aisha."
