ذِكْرُ الْأَخْبَارِ عَنِ اسْتِحْقَاقِ صَاحِبِ الدَّابَّةِ صَدْرَهَا

ibnhibban:4735Aḥmad b. Mukram b. Khālid al-Birtī > ʿAlī b. al-Madīnī > Zayd b. al-Ḥubāb > al-Ḥusayn b. Wāqid > ʿAbdullāh b. Buraydah from his father

[Machine] The translation of the text is: "While the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was walking, a man on a donkey said to him, 'O Messenger of Allah, ride and I'll catch up with you.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, 'The owner of the animal has more rights to its back, unless he allows me to ride it.' The man then allowed him, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ rode on the donkey."  

ابن حبّان:٤٧٣٥أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُكْرَمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْبِرْتِيُّ بِبَغْدَادَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ بَيْنَا هُوَ يَمْشِي فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ عَلَى حِمَارٍ ارْكَبْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَتَأَخَّرَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «صَاحِبُ الدَّابَّةِ أَحَقُّ بِصَدْرِهَا إِلَّا أَنْ تَجْعَلَهَا لِي» قَالَ فَجَعَلَهُ لَهُ فَرَكِبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

While the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was walking a man who had an ass came to him and said: Messenger of Allah, ride; and the man moved to the back of the animal. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: No, you have more right to ride in front on your animal than me unless you grant that right to me. He said: I grant it to you. So he mounted.

سَمِعْتُ أَبِي بُرَيْدَةَ يَقُولُ بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَمْشِي جَاءَ رَجُلٌ وَمَعَهُ حِمَارٌ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ارْكَبْ وَتَأَخَّرَ الرَّجُلُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لاَ أَنْتَ أَحَقُّ بِصَدْرِ دَابَّتِكَ مِنِّي إِلاَّ أَنْ تَجْعَلَهُ لِي قَالَ فَإِنِّي قَدْ جَعَلْتُهُ لَكَ فَرَكِبَ

"I heard my father Buraidah saying: 'I was walking with the Prophet ﷺ when a man came to him with a donkey, so he said: "O Messenger of Allah! Ride" and the man moved toward the back. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "No, you have more right to the front of your beast, unless you allot it for me." He said: "I have allotted it for you.'" He said: 'So he rode.'"  

الترمذي:٢٧٧٣حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَمَّارٍ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ وَاقِدٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ قَالَ

[Machine] A man came to the Prophet (SAW) with a donkey while he was walking. The Prophet (SAW) said, "Ride on it O Messenger of Allah." The man replied, "The owner of the animal has more right to ride on its back, unless you give it to me." The Prophet (SAW) said, "I have given it to you."  

الحاكم:٢٣٧٠أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ بَكْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّيْرَفِيُّ بِمَرْوَ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ بِحِمَارٍ وَهُوَ يَمْشِي فَقَالَ ارْكَبْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ «إِنَّ صَاحِبَ الدَّابَّةِ أَحَقُّ بِصَدْرِ دَابَّتِهِ إِلَّا أَنْ تَجْعَلَهُ لِي» قَالَ قَدْ فَعَلْتُ  

«هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ مُسْلِمٍ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ» على شرط مسلم
