ذِكْرُ الْخَبَرِ الدَّالِّ عَلَى إِبَاحَةِ التِّجَارَةِ لِلْحَاجِّ وَالْمُعْتَمِرِ
[Machine] Okaz and Dhul-Majaz were markets that they had during Jahiliya [pre-Islamic era]. When Allah brought Islam, it seemed as if they considered it a sin to engage in trade during Hajj [pilgrimage]. So they asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and the verse "There is no sin upon you if you seek the favor of your Lord" was revealed concerning the Hajj seasons.
عُكَاظُ وَذُو الْمَجَازِ أَسْوَاقٌ كَانَتْ لَهُمْ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَلَمَّا جَاءَ اللَّهُ بِالْإِسْلَامِ كَأَنَّهُمْ تَأَثَّمُوا أَنْ يَتَّجِرُوا فِي الْحَجِّ فَسَأَلُوا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَنَزَلَتْ {لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ أَنْ تَبْتَغُوا فَضْلًا مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ} فِي مَوَاسِمِ الْحَجِّ
