ذِكْرُ الْعِلَّةِ الَّتِي مِنْ أَجْلِهَا لَا يَسْمَعُ النَّاسُ عَذَابَ الْقَبْرِ

ibnhibban:3126 – Muḥammad b. ʿAbd al-Raḥman al-Sāmī > Yaḥyá b. Ayyūb al-Maqābirī > Ismāʿīl b. Jaʿfar > Ḥumayd al-Ṭawīl > Anas b. Mālik

[Machine] From the Messenger of Allah ﷺ : He entered a wall from the walls of Bani Najjar, and he heard a voice from a grave. He said, "When was the person of this grave buried?" They said, "During the time of ignorance." So he was extremely saddened by this and said, "If it were not for the fact that you would stop burying, I would have prayed to Allah to let you hear the punishment of the grave."  

ابن حبّان:٣١٢٦ – أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السَّامِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الْمَقَابِرِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ حَائِطًا مِنْ حَوَائِطِ بَنِي النَّجَّارِ فَسَمِعَ صَوْتًا مِنْ قَبْرٍ قَالَ «مَتَى دُفِنَ صَاحِبُ هَذَا الْقَبْرِ؟ » فَقَالُوا فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَسُرَّ بِذَلِكَ وَقَالَ « لَوْلَا أَنْ لَا تَدَافَنُوا لَدَعَوْتُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يُسْمِعَكُمْ عَذَابَ الْقَبْرِ»

ahmad:13080 – Yazīd > Ḥumayd > Anas

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ passed by a date palm tree belonging to the Bani Al-Najjar tribe and heard a sound. He asked, "What is this?" They said, "It is the grave of a man who was buried during the era of ignorance." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If it were not for the fact that you would stop burying your dead, I would have asked Allah to make you hear the punishment of the grave."  

أحمد:١٣٠٨٠ – حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ مَرَّ بِنَخْلٍ لِبَنِي النَّجَّارِ فَسَمِعَ صَوْتًا فَقَالَ مَا هَذَا؟ قَالُوا قَبْرُ رَجُلٍ دُفِنَ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَوْلَا أَنْ لَا تَدَافَنُوا لَدَعَوْتُ اللهَ أَنْ يُسْمِعَكُمْ عَذَابَ الْقَبْرِ  

ahmad:12007 – Ibn Abū ʿAdī > Ḥumayd > Anas

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ entered a wall of the city of Bani Najjar and heard a voice from a grave, so he asked when was this person buried? They said, "O Messenger of Allah, he was buried in the time of ignorance (before Islam)." He was amazed by that and said, "If it were not for the fact that you would stop burying your dead, I would have asked Allah to let you hear the punishment of the grave."  

أحمد:١٢٠٠٧ – حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

دَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ حَائِطًا مِنْ حِيطَانِ الْمَدِينَةِ لِبَنِي النَّجَّارِ فَسَمِعَ صَوْتًا مِنْ قَبْرٍ فَسَأَلَ عَنْهُ مَتَى دُفِنَ هَذَا؟ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ دُفِنَ هَذَا فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَأَعْجَبَهُ ذَلِكَ وَقَالَ لَوْلَا أَنْ لَا تَدَافَنُوا لَدَعَوْتُ اللهَ أَنْ يُسْمِعَكُمْ عَذَابَالْقَبْرِ

الكبرى للنسائي:٢١٩٦ – أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ سَمِعَ صَوْتًا مِنْ قَبْرٍ فَقَالَ «مَتَى مَاتَ هَذَا؟» قَالُوا مَاتَ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَسُرَّ بِذَلِكَ وَقَالَ «لَوْلَا أَنْ لَا تَدَافَنُوا لَدَعَوْتُ اللهَ أَنْ يُسْمِعَكُمْ عَذَابَ الْقَبْرِ»

"عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ، عَنْ أنسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ الله ﷺ سَمِعَ صَوْتًا مِنْ قَبْرٍ فَقَالَ: مَتَى مَاتَ هَذَا؟ قَالُوا: مَاتَ فِى الجَاهِلِيَّةِ، فَكَأنَّهُ أعْجَبَهُ ذَلِكَ، فَقَالَ: لَوْلاَ ألَّا تَدَافَنُوا - أوْ كمَا قَالَ - لَدَعَوْتُ الله يُسْمِعُكُمْ عَذَابَ القَبْرِ".
