ذِكْرُ الْخَبَرِ الدَّالِّ عَلَى أَنَّ نَصْبَ الْمُصَلِّي أَمَامَهُ السُّتْرَةَ وَخَطَّهُ الْخَطَّ يَجِبُ أَنْ يَكُونَ بِالطُّولِ لَا بِالْعَرْضِ

[Machine] "That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to have a female goat that he would pray towards."  

ابن حبّان:٢٣٧٧ – أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ النَّرْسِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى الْقَطَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَ تُرْكَزُ لَهُ الْعَنَزَةُ فَيُصَلِّي إِلَيْهَا»

The Prophet ﷺ used to get a Harba planted in front of him (as a Sutra) and pray behind it.

ahmad:5840 – Wakīʿ > al-ʿUmarī > Nāfiʿ > Ibn ʿUmar

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ used to have the war spoils gathered for him on both Eid days, and he would then distribute them.
