ذِكْرُ الْخَبَرِ الْمُدْحِضِ قَوْلَ مَنْ زَعَمَ أَنَّ هَذَا الْخَبَرَ تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ عَمْرُو بْنُ أُمَيَّةَ الضَّمْرِيُّ

[Machine] I was with Salman al-Farisi when he saw a man who had just broken wind and wanted to remove his socks for ablution. Salman said to him, "Wipe over them and your turban, for I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wiping over his headscarf and socks."  

ابن حبّان:١٣٤٤ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي الْفُرَاتِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي شُرَيْحٍ عَنْ أَبِي مُسْلِمٍ مَوْلَى زَيْدِ بْنِ صُوحَانَ قَالَ

كُنْتُ مَعَ سَلْمَانَ الْفَارِسِيِّ فَرَأَى رَجُلًا قَدْ أَحْدَثَ وَهُوَ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَنْزِعَ خُفَّيْهِ لِلْوُضُوءِ فَقَالَ لَهُ سَلْمَانُ «امْسَحْ عَلَيْهِمَا وَعَلَى عِمَامَتِكَ فَإِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَمْسَحُ عَلَى خِمَارِهِ وَعَلَى خُفَّيْهِ»

[Machine] I was with Salman al-Farsi and he saw a man who had just performed ablution and wanted to take off his stockings. Salman commanded him to wipe over his stockings and his turban, and to wipe with the tip of his nose. Salman said, "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wiping over his stockings and his headscarf."
