[Machine] We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ writing, and a man asked, "Which of the two cities will be conquered first, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "The city of Heraclius," referring to the city of Constantinople.
كُنَّا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَكْتُبُ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ أَيُّ الْمَدِينَتَيْنِ تُفْتَحُ قَبْلُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ «مَدِينَةُ هِرَقْلَ» يُرِيدُ مَدِينَةَ الْقُسْطَنْطِينِيَّةِ
[Machine] "While we were around the Messenger of Allah ﷺ writing, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked, 'Which two cities will be opened first, Constantinople or Rome?' The Prophet ﷺ replied, 'No, the city of Heraclius will be opened first.'"
بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ حَوْلَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَكْتُبُ إِذْ سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَيُّ الْمَدِينَتَيْنِ تُفْتَحُ أَوَّلًا قُسْطَنْطِينِيَّةُ أَوْ رُومِيَّةُ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «لَا بَلْ مَدِينَةُ هِرَقْلَ أَوَّلًا»
[Machine] Abdullah ibn Amr heard saying: "We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he was asked, 'Which of the two cities will be conquered first, Constantinople or Rome?' He replied, 'The city of Heraclius (referring to Constantinople) will be conquered first.'"
سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو يَقُولُ كُنَّا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَسُئِلَ أَيُّ الْمَدِينَتَيْنِ تُفْتَحُ أَوَّلًا؟ يَعْنِي الْقُسْطَنْطِينِيَّةَ أَوِ الرُّومِيَّةَ فَقَالَ «مَدِينَةُ هِرَقْلَ أَوَّلًا» يَعْنِي الْقُسْطَنْطِينِيَّةَ
[Machine] We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ writing down what we heard from him, so we asked him, "Which of the two cities will be conquered first, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "The city of Heraclius." He meant the city of Constantinople.
