hakim:6625Abū Jaʿfar al-Baghdādī > ʿAmr b. Isḥāq b. Ibrāhīm b. Zurayq > Aṣbagh b. ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz > Abū ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz b. Aṣbagh b. Abān b. Sulaymān from his grandfather Abān > Abīh Sulaymān

[Machine] That some men from his people and others from the Arabs came to him and said, "Indeed, Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Abdul-Muttalib has emerged, calling to a religion other than our religion." So Qabith stood up and went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . When he entered upon him, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "Sit down, O Qabith." So Qabith became silent. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "Are you the one who said, 'If the women of the Quraysh were to come out with their ability, they would turn Muhammad and his companions away?'" Qabith said, "By the One Who sent you with the truth, I did not speak those words with my tongue, my lips did not stammer with them, and I did not hear anyone say them from me. It is only something that whispered in my soul. I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, alone, without partner, and I bear witness that you are His slave and Messenger. And what you have brought is the truth."

[Machine] A man from his people and others from the Arabs came to him and they said, "Indeed, Muhammad ibn Abd al-Muttalib has emerged calling to a religion other than our religion." So Qabath stood up until he came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. When he entered upon him, the Messenger of Allah said to him, "Sit down, O Qabath." So Qabath inferred his intention and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "You are the one who said that if the women of Quraish appeared with their most precious belongings, they would have returned Muhammad and his companions." Qabath said, "By He who has sent you with the truth, my tongue did not move with it, nor did my lips murmur it, nor has anyone heard it from me. It was nothing but a whisper in my soul. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah." He said, "And indeed, what you have brought is the truth."
