[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ sent Ali to Yemen and appointed him as a commander. When he was about to leave, he said, "O Abu Rafi, bring him back to me and do not leave him behind, and let him stand and not turn back until I come to him." So he approached him and advised him about some matters and said, "O Ali, it is better for you that Allah guides a person through your efforts than the sun shining upon them."  

الحاكم:٦٥٣٧ – أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمُزَنِيُّ ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ نَجْدَةَ ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ ثَنَا قَيْسُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ عَنْ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مَوْلَى عَلِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ قَالَ

بَعَثَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَلِيًّا إِلَى الْيَمَنِ فَعَقَدَ لَهُ لِوَاءً فَلَمَّا مَضَى قَالَ «يَا أَبَا رَافِعٍ الْحَقْهُ وَلَا تَدْعُهُ مِنْ خَلْفِهِ وَلْيَقِفْ وَلَا يَلْتَفِتُ حَتَّى أَجِيئَهُ» فَأَتَاهُ فَأَوْصَاهُ بِأَشْيَاءَ فَقَالَ «يَا عَلِيُّ لِأَنْ يَهْدِيَ اللَّهُ عَلَى يَدَيْكَ رَجُلًا خَيْرٌ لَكَ مِمَّا طَلَعَتْ عَلَيْهِ الشَّمْسُ»

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ sent Ali to Yemen and appointed him as a leader. When Ali was about to leave, the Prophet said to him, "O Abu Rafi', fulfill your duty and do not let it be neglected from behind you. Stand and do not turn back until I come to you." Ali waited and did not turn back until the Prophet came to him. The Prophet then advised him on certain matters and said, "O Ali, it is better for you if Allah guides a person through your guidance than if the sun rises upon him."
